Trumps huge historical win in Iowa is causing the GOP establishments attempts at causing a messy primary to fall apart. That's what Desantis was supposed to do. He was put there to divide the GOP voting base. It's why they tried to push him as MAGA lite or whatever. Desantis spent a lot of money and time in Iowa just to end up in a distant second. The only good thing is he kept Nikki Haley in third place. Haley coming out with her weird concession speech about how it's a two person race now shows that she thought she would come in second. She was for a while but as votes came in that changed. This will probably keep her from doing too well in New Hampshire. Desantis just needs to drop out. So does Nikki Haley but the GOP establishment have put all their money and effort into her now since the Desantis campaign collapsed. Vivek dropped out and endorsed Trump so his voters can go over and vote for Trump now. This should keep Haley from having a big win in NH.

There is no way the Democrats are this fanatical about enabling human & drug smuggling if none of them are on cartel payrolls. No. Fucking. Way. The fact that most of the GOP is not falling in line behind Trump at this point is really strong evidence that most of the GOP ranks need to be purged. They are either too dull to realize the narrative media is lying about the hate for him or too corrupt to get behind him because they know the receipts will drop if they do.

difference is that Trump actually won the legal votes in 2020, while DeSantis is losing the legal votes in Iowa by a legitimate landslide. On top of that, many Trump supporters were predicting a loss in the legal votes only to be surprised that Trump overperformed their expectations despite the fraud giving Chomo Joe a close shave in the electoral college
based on my direct experience...it really does seem to be the case that astrology can be legit in certain circumstances. This isn't a material world and everything is interrelated. You can also extrapolate patterns regarding luck and what will happen to the world from Kiwifarms posting times, posting lengths, avatars, usernames, et cetera. It's just that astrology is a much older tradition.

I mean, sure, but Cruz has also always shifted when he saw where the party was moving. He got over himself after the Republican convention in 2016 to campaign for Trump to defeat Hillary.
If anything, he's best equipped to recognize now's the time to do it, because DeSantis has been running the same 90's Evangelical culture war campaign Cruz did in the 2016 primary. A campaign that does very little to touch on baseline economic and security issues and is pushed hardcore by Heritage Foundation types who don't really give a shit about the working class beyond their usefulness for votes, and indeed tend to look upon them with contempt. Those respectability politics-obsessed """conservatives"""" haven't been able to win an election since Democrats were dumb enough to put up John Kerry as their candidate, but they refuse to recognize that reality and you can tell repeated failures are driving them nuts because pro-DeSantis pundits are acting a good bit more unhinged and conspiratorial than they were 8 years ago.
Meanwhile, Cruz looks at the Iowa caucus, thinks "shit, at least I won Iowa with this approach, Ron is going nowhere" and endorses Trump shortly thereafter.
