Why does everyone get stuck in Afghanistan, anyway? It’s a landlocked shithole in the worst part of Asia, with no money or strategic value. You’d think people would just ignore it, but instead every empire gets obsessed with it.
Afghanistan is a perfect launching point into six different countries. The reason it's called "The Graveyard of Empires" is every great power has taken a shot at "civilizing" Afghanistan and lost badly at the venture.

How unfortunate, but really hard to be sympathetic knowing his own actions was his downfall and eventual death.
They deported him and he still returned and to make a show of photographing Ukrainian military personnel and positions which he sent to Russia (a very silly thing to do in wartime), and even then he was bailed, and only after violating that was he detained (the cautious treatment likely a result of a certain passport with a bald eagle in it, with death a result of his chain smoking, but specifically pneumonia, although that is not confirmed.

It's squeezed in the heart of a undulating but mainly mountainy expanse with Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. If the West or before that the Soviet Union had somehow secured it, it would've put them at the heart of what the Victorians called the Great Game where Russia and Britain contended over Afghanistan, Persia and Tibet. Perhaps ironically, Red China seems to be winning the Great Game for now with good relations between them and the Taleban Emirate (so contracts like Huawei installed thousands of security cameras and the usual lucrative to China resource deals as part of the making a Jew blush Belt and Road racket).

Despite earning at least $16k a month before the war began, enough to buy the best medical care in the world, he would die at the age of 55 from a treatable illness in a dusty underresourced hospital.

All these years advocating against single-motherhood and the need for a father figure, he has left his children without a father.

His life and death is the definition of irony.

It's pretty funny how all the attention CRP got from the pro Russia shills after being arrested last time completely died after he got out unscathed. Now that they finally got the death they hoped for, the attention is back again.

CRP seemed to have a death wish from the very start of the invasion. To no one's surprise, openly acting as a fifth columnist during war time is a good way to put a target on your back. I guess CRP either found the attention too sweet, or he was too smug to stop himself.

Nobody gives a shit.
Clearly you do since you wrote a tl;dr about it. While missing the point completely; the US has an obligation to protect, and if necessary, extricate its citizens from authoritarian shitholes like the Ukraine if they are in danger, and he obviously was. That they didn't is the issue here, not his opinion (or yours) on the war.
CRP seemed to have a death wish
You know, he wasn't a young man. I wonder if he may have had undiagnosed dementia and/or Alzheimer's, or something similar. His unkempt appearance and refusal to heed good advice point in that direction.

Pro-Russia social media immediately adopted him when the war started because he was one of the few anti-west voices with any kind of western audience. That support also started falling pretty quick after once people became aware of his past. Even Brian Berletec, who was about the only credible person who would still appear regularly with him toward the end had to give a huge CYA disclaimer when eulogizing him this week.

No shit. So why are we supporting this worthless despotic shithole?
The value of the ukraine war for the american empire is that it keeps germany and russia from having too close ties. Getting western european support for blowing up the pipelines is a masterstroke for american geopolitics.

When eurasia is divided, oceania rules.

Also covid was losing all steam and was starting to reverse and would lead to too many unanswerable questions, so there needed to be bigger distractions.

CRP had at least two chances to extricate himself from an authoritarian shithole like Ukraine and he didn't take them, do you expect the US to care more about CRP's welfare than he himself did?
... because I don't. I'm not sure where you got this idea the US has an obligation to rescue all of its citizens from their own bad mistakes abroad because it leaves Americans to rot in foreign cells all the time. There's multiple Americans jailed in China for example. CRP made the mistake of not being gay and melanated during one of the gayest administrations of all time, there was no chance in hell he was going to get special treatment and he should've known it.

Because it assisted its citizens all the time when Americans got into trouble, particularly when they weren't accused of violent crimes, and even then it would intervene. Anyone older than 25 remembers this; its why American got cocky abroad. Having an American passport meant the US would watch out for you. Now the US doesn't give a shit about its people unless it can leverage it politically.

I honestly don't understand why this is so difficult to understand unless you're so blinded by CPR's goofy persona and/or his support for Russia that you're just happy he met a bad end.

Do you have examples?

There’s a part of me that wonders if he had something that was killing him slowly.

He said in a video last year that he had heart problems and wouldn't live too long, then died with edema which is a sign of heart failure. He could've been suffering congestive heart failure for a while.

So your source is "Dude trust me". That's some glow nigger shit if I ever saw it.
You're the one making the claim so back it up.
lmao you can just go back to even 2000 and earlier to read cases where the State Department was involved, I'm not some unpaid intern you lazy nigger. Don't care if you believe me, didn't ask you to.

First it was "I'm a glow nigger privy to special information and I can't violate my confidentiality agreements UwU" and now it's "Lmao I'm not spending time supporting my claims on you, fucking peon".
Very cool, nice shape shifting act you got going on there.

Which is all the more reason to deport his stupid ass rather than letting him die in your prison.
