(It has been speculated here that "advice that Bibi gave" actually came from Auntie Rasta, and I tend to agree. He was done with her. Why would he be advising her on a new relationship?) She also kept finding reasons to return to the apartment "to get stuff." The communication ended rather abruptly. I remember the last time she had contact wither him he brought a bunch of mail to her in the parking garage of his apartment. I hope he had told her at that point to fuck the hell off (in the nicest way possible, of course).

She still talks about how she cheated on him. I think she should (and I'm sure Malan wants her to) take his name out of her mouth forever.

I had the same thought a while back while watching FFG's intro, which includes a bunch of footage of Chantal dancing for the camera at the Luxury Villa. Some of it was pretty gross, such as her attempts to twerk, but in others (pre-Nader, mostly) she looked like she was genuinely happy and having fun, in a way we never see any more.

There was a little flicker of that kind of happiness in her lives when she first returned to Canada, before it really sank in just how unwanted she was there and how she couldn't afford even a shitty studio fartbox in Cornwall. It really stood out, because it's been pretty much absent from her time in Kuwait. She's done a lot of rictus-grinning and making cow eyes at Salah in order to look like she's so happy, but she's so obviously not. Her experience with Nader killed whatever ability to be happy she had, and everything since then has just been cope.

I think she keeps bringing up Bibi because living with him was the best time of her life. That was the happiest she's ever been, with the best man she'll ever get, and she blew it (and not just by cheating, but by what she became thanks to YouTube). She can't fully admit that to herself, because the pain would be intolerable, but it's definitely rattling around like an unwashed spoon left in the empty, moldy Chef Boy-ar-dee can that is her head, and it's noisy.

I've seen other Narcissists do nostalgia in similar ways. They may not come out and admit that past era (which has been thoroughly revised and idealized in their minds) was the best time of their life, that they long to go back to, because to do so would be to admit failure in the present, which they can't do. But it'll keep leaking into their conversations, whether it's the old Boomer dude who keeps reminiscing about his high school days, or Chantal bringi g up Bibi.

The only time she mentioned Malan after she moved out was for her own sick purposes.
She would always bring him up when she and Nadar had been fighting and she did it specifically to make him jealous. If Nadar had given her a really bad narc injury she would even hurple her way over to Malans place to fetch some "papers" or some other bullshit excuse and make sure to livestream her visit. Chantal has always had to "just get into his house" and immediately leave some of her possessions as a place holder. She thinks she is so very clever. Or perhaps she isn't even aware of the reasons for her behavior.

As an aside, Nadar really hated that Chinny lived with Peetz, whether because macho narc Arab male shit or just because he wanted all Chantal's monies to be spent on him, who knows? You can take the muslim arab male out of his misogynist sandy shithole, but you can't take the misogyny out of the muslim arab male. Chantal worked her way around his hate of her living situation for the longest, by shit talking Peetz every chance she got and she used his supposed troonery to assuage Nadar's ego. I have never believed that Chantal was lying when it came to her relationship with Nadar. I do believe that he did want to "settle down" with Chantal, which actually meant he wanted to totally dominate her. He could continue on with his own fuckshit but Chantal had to agree to be compliant and under his thumb. A good little Muslim wifey. He would give Chantal his attention and even batter her boobs and flick her bean and she was so besotted that she would tell him what he wanted to hear; but then her one true love, junk food, would call and she would hurple as quickly as the KIA would take her, to the nearest Burger King.

And I think Chantal would have finally agreed to Nadars terms, had it not been for the messy mess she had already made of her life. Her family and friends hated Nadar because Chantal had exposed his violence, drug use and perversions; and there were those bankruptcies and tax debt. At any rate, Chantal learned her lesson well. She found herself another abuser man, but this time she made sure that those pesky little things like family and friends and taxes wouldn't stop her. She became "private". She went as far away as she could so she could retreat to her idea of paradise without getting a ration of shit from family and she could ignore her debts. She realized her final form. She became a consuming Blob, where her Handsomest Man lavished 24/7 attention on her and filled her with her food cravings on demand. And all she had to do was give up everything; her money, her family, her friend/s, her pets, her health, her freedom, her humanity.
Seems like a good plan.

However, I think Cuntal hated Peetz most of all and like the cats, she wanted to be rid of the burden so she could live happily ever after with Prince Crack in their own little love nest trap house. To her, Peetz was standing in the way of that, that's why whenever Nader was giving her a gunting she'd start talking about how Peetz needs to be more independent. She needed to get rid of him and install Nader.

I think Chinny got a real kick out of triangulating the two men in her life and did whatever she could to manufacturer genuine hatred between them so she could live her best two men fighting over her fantasy.
