I cannot give you all the details, but I am sure that I have caused anxiety among listeners, creators, friends, and others who are involved in this project. I am sorry for the anxiety and discomfort I have caused you.
When I was going through a mentally difficult time or event, I talked to someone I trusted. I deeply regret this indiscretion.
The matter has been resolved amicably among the parties concerned.
I would like to thank all those involved for their kindness and consultation in making this statement.
I am not sure if it is appropriate to tell you this here, but I myself have been mentally unstable since the death of my beloved cat, which had been with me for many years.
I have been thinking about when I would tell you all about this, but it has been so hard that I have not been able to. I am sorry.
I am going to suspend my activities for a while in order to take a moment to reflect on the problems I have faced and the things I have done.
It may be difficult to do so immediately, but I hope to be able to regain the trust I have lost when I return and to enjoy working with everyone again someday.

When that happened she talked about it publicly since she felt Cover wasn't doing enough about the situation. If nothing happened to her back then I can't see why that would cause issues now

Indeed that happened 4 years ago it's highly unlikely that that was the cause of issues this far down the line.

Also a random thing just for whatever it's worth Calli has confirmed at the start of her stream that 1: her stream yesterday was cancelled because originally the termination announcement was supposed to happen at the same time as the collab stream so they all decided to just not do it. and 2: Mel isn't going to be a taboo topic that can't be spoken about or talked about. Said she still holds super high respect for her and that she's sure she herself will end up mentioning her in the future and didn't want fans to think it was some weird thing that couldn't be spoken of.

Did a search of subtitles from Rie streams. These are the earliest mentions I could find of "unhime", though I can't guarantee that they're definitely the earliest mentions because youtube autogenerated subtitles don't recognize the word "unhime" so I searched for "un he" and "unhe".
Earliest mention of "unhime" I can find is from ~3.5 weeks after Rie's debut, but in that case she makes a joke about "no hole left unhimed".
Next mention of "unhime" is ~6 weeks after Rie's debut and this one is used as a suicide euphemism.

I wonder if Cover debated wether they would keep Mel's channel up while e.g. turning the monetization off. Yes, she did broke contract and the punishment is her termination but is there any harm in letting the VODs, songs and 3D lives online? There is less bad blood than during the Rushia situation.

She probably would have if she didn't have to deal with Youtube's bullshit over her outfit. She would have streams ended by Youtube for nudity or some shit when there was none. Then there was the whole stalker incident which slowed shit down for her as well. Had she had a smooth start like everyone else, she definitely would have.

This may be already old news since I don't visit this place but every half a year or so; have people talked about how people found out about Irys being married? And not a normal marriage, but a +50yo japanese (music producer) ojisan? It paints her whole personality in a new shade. The evidence is so obvious you would have to be ferociously blind to not see it.
