By my read of this, Greer is automatically in breach of the ordered deadlines.

So, in layman's terms, what materially has Russel actually gained? His lawyers got a precedent to allow a fine to go through? But now he's fighting alone to get the actual content removed, is that it?

How do you read that?

It says the draft Attorney Planning Meeting Report must be proposed "within 14 days after the first answer to the complaint is filed".

Null filed a motion to dismiss, and filed replies to Russ's motions, but I don't think he's filed an answer to the complaint; even if he had, that would be an exception: "If the first answer to the complaint has already been filed ... Plaintiff(s) must propose a schedule to Defendant(s) in the form of a draft Attorney Planning Meeting Report within 14 days after the date of this Order."

What seems weird to me is that the deadline for Russ's proposed schedule is contingent on Null's answer, but I don't know if there's a deadline for an answer. I think the court overlooked it.

The original deadline for Russ's proposed schedule, prior to dismissal and appeal, was contingent on either defendant's appearance or on service of the complaint, not on filing an answer.

You forgot the obscure law of lolcows.

Retards who get laughed at on the internet are immune from the consequences of their actions
I'm not a droopy faced retard who had his own pitylawyers run off on him like the hookers he tries to date, but I do post on kiwifarms so that means I'm retarded enough for this universal law to work, right?

Fuck I hate that. Lolcows become lolcows because of a lack of consequence. They're the ones who need them most. The fact that the only true arbiter of justice over a lolcow is the icy scythe of death pisses me off almost as much that the same standard is held for supreme court justices. Still have a pulse? You're still in!

The legal consequences may be few, but the practical ones are myriad. Russell Greer, for example, has alienated his family, torpedoed his career, likely has no friends and cannot find a woman to touch him without paying her- and, even then, sometimes fails. Contrary to his cope, none of this is because he's disabled. Regardless of how he fairs in this case, it will not improve his life in any real way. If he manages to get some relatively paltry sum of compensation, he won't use it to better himself at all.

It definitely sucks that he can use the legal system as a weapon (and that should be changed) but lolcows wouldn't learn from most consequences, anyway. Russ is proof of that.

The dog caught the car. Now he's gotta do discovery and he doesn't have the funds for that.

this looks like it's going to prompt greer to write a 40+ page frothing/irrelevant reply about how he's totally not a sex pest (he was just misunderstood by everyone) and I'm here for it.

I write this, secure in the knowledge that he can't help himself.
