What toy deal? Clarify, I'm intrigued.Vanity. He had a Cyberfrog toy deal that fell apart at the last minute ages ago, he's trying to relive glory days that never existed.

It's theoretically possible, I guess, but he's gonna have to bust his ass. The Bossman Jack and Fatrick followers were pissed that Rekieta won, so I think they might push hard to make this year their own. Nobody outside of this thread really even knew much about EVS until this Juju, Vito, and Rekieta (all way more visible to KF) started up with their bullshit.Even his replies call out this gay shit. I guess Ethan wants to be Lolcow of the Year 2024...
I don't think anybody did. I always figured EVS was just gonna fade away gradually into irrelevance.I wasn't expecting him to sperg out or side with vito the pedo.
Who knew Sketch Therapy would be the smartest one to jump ship so early? It's theoretically possible, I guess, but he's gonna have to bust his ass. I will say this though: Getting catfished by a dude would help his Ethan's chances of winning immensely. Call it a hunch.

But, in retrospect, it makes sense. He always had that cushion of the Iconic Comic guys not making the money he did. With July, he doesn't have that card to play anymore. It's a serious threat to his ego. This has left him with the option of either working with unsavory critters to destroy July so he can reestablish dominance in this sektur, or realizing the game has fundamentally changed and he's not going to be able to cruise along anymore with streams bitching about Brie Larson and telling people that they should pour more money into the chronically late Cyberfrog.
Guess which one he went for.

back in the Harris Comics days near the end of his first Cyberfrog run EVS claimed he had a toy deal for Cyberfrog And it would be like the next Ninja Turtles. Then Harris Comics went under and so did his toy deal.
I wouldn't call it smart. It started with him raging in Ethan's chat about how Ethan's mods were all traitors to Ethan and how they were hiding Sketch's chats from Ethan. That was all in his own mind of course. But when Ethan didn't solve the imaginary problem, Sketch was not happy.Who knew Sketch Therapy would be the smartest one to jump ship so early?
Playmates toys around the same time went from a 53 million dollar profit in 1996 to a 114 million dollar loss in 1997. There was also a sort of chinese civil war being fought inside playmates around that time between the sons of the old owner. Harris going under was a part of it because I think they were doing all the business to get the deal, but drama inside playmates was part of it too.

Then I think he was later hypnotized by TSWG Anna. I think he has spent several years sort of stalking her and simping for her. That kept him too busy to bother with Ethan.
The guy is basically insane. Sometimes the insanity results in loyalty to someone, but that loyalty can snap in an instant when the voices in his head tell sketch something.
He did have a brain injury and became a ward of the state IIRC.i heard on one of EVS’s older streams, that Sketch suffered some sort of severe head injury in the past. He wouldn’t go much into it but, it would explain a lot of Sketch’s behavior.
I think there is truth to that, especially given what we know about EVS now. It took him the longest time to give Sketch the boot especially when his whole chat hated the guy.He did have a brain injury and became a ward of the state IIRC.
Here's some retard taking EVS to task 3+ years ago for exploiting Sketch Therapy's disability for superchats and then outright denying it:
Only to have the sketch-shaped hole in CG filled in by Captain Finity. I've taken to calling him 'Fitch Therapy'. He's quite the character. He starts personal beefs at lightning sped. He can be seen on various CGSlums shows, and in chats, flinging shit with a frequency that would make a Baboon blush.Who knew Sketch Therapy would be the smartest one to jump ship so early?
To your point: long-time EVS supporter Kambot is now running around calling EVS a "lying piece of trash" on xitter.I’ve been seeing a number of people on Twitter just be absolute sick of EVS’s weird hate-obsession with Eric July. He may be getting some drama-lovers on his side, but he’s also losing the respect of a good number of people as well who just see him as pathetic and desperate these days.
Like Cecil's fwiend Alex Stein to say something out of turn with Ethan and cause a ultimatum?I wonder how long until he turns on Cecil for a lack of sufficient loyalty?
The obsession with July isn't all that weird when you remember that Ethan is a malignant narcissist who can't countenance anyone being too successful in a space he thinks he owns (i.e. the entire indy comics scene). Whatever reasons he's giving for his absolutely unhinged preoccupation with Eric July are just window dressing for the real issue: the unqualified success that has been the Rippaverse.I’ve been seeing a number of people on Twitter just be absolute sick of EVS’s weird hate-obsession with Eric July. The fact that Ethan considers ISOM a subpar product is just salt in the wound for him.
it really is funny. Goes to show just having a good idea or good art isn't good enough, you need to be able to SELL SELL SELL and that's always a real hard part especially once you go to scale you have logistics and suppliers and shit to worry about while still being profitable. Too much work for the lkes of EVS I guess.
jeebus christ, why did EVS think that making action figures of his shitty ip is a good business plan?
Who knew Sketch Therapy would be the smartest one to jump ship so early?
So if we are to take EVS at his word, he is spending 8 to ten hours a day drawing The Rainbow Brite rip off. When in reality he is spending all day on twitter arguing with his customers, and fans. @FROG Winning! Here is Kambot saying CG is no longer fun. I've seen many creators and customers alike lamenting the current state of CG.
Kam isn' one to mince words. He's always been fun to talk to. Here he is calling ReeVS a "piece of shit" and a pervert.
If Ethan had any care in the world at all for Dillard, he would have offered him cash immediately, and not told the world on a live stream or twitter. So now Ethan is desperately trying to pivot the narrative to being about saving starving comic artists from Eric July and Yellow Flash.
I wonder how long until he turns on Cecil for a lack of sufficient loyalty?
Well, like @Rupin and @Strix454 said, I think his is more of a case of being pushed.Who knew Sketch Therapy would be the smartest one to jump ship so early?
Oh, those are all SJWs. Trust me, brah. Trust the plan. Invest in Cyberfrog!I’ve been seeing a number of people on Twitter just be absolute sick of EVS’s weird hate-obsession with Eric July.

And yet, it's the one thing he's said in all this that I don't disagree with. I don't particularly like ISOM either. Plenty of perfectly reasonable people have expressed that opinion. Despite loathing Dick, Vito, and Riley, Null did a review of ISOM and didn't particularly care for it either. Art is subjective. That is the least effective of any of the criticisms of Eric July.
