I was under impression that BB 'eats' a fruit user to take their power, like what linlin did but with yami yami powers instead of his mouth. Because it's his fruit eating the fruit (user) and not him, he doesn't die.
idk it’s weird because Oda went out of his way to hide what BB was doing to WB and we still haven’t gotten any hints or info at it. I just think if he went to the trouble of hiding what BB was doing it has to be more than he eats WB right? Maybe his fruit is like Luffys and we think it’s one thing but it’s actually another thing. Instead of just being a darkness fruit maybe it’s literally a Devil fruit, and like a big ole spooky shadow man comes out of BB and can steal other fruits.
I wouldn't be surprised by now if there's been a few Fruits that got their names changed since the Void Century. It's a little odd that darkness can negate Devil Fruit powers, never can figure it out outside of Blackbeard being a literal black hole.
Whitebeard literally fucking died and they did something to his still warm corpse, but didn’t eat it. His crew recovered his corpse from what I remember.
They literally do some shit with a blanket. He also has been steeling powers from other Fruit users like the Patchwork guy and what he threatened Boa with.
Having already demonstrated the ability to absorb and seal DF powers by touch, is it such a leap that he could make a shadow under that blanket strong enough swallow up and contain the power as it escapes its dying host to become a fruit again?

Oda isn't behind the Anime though. The Anim actually makes it even more sexualized that it was in the manga which is stramnge since in the case of Fairy Tale, it's theAnime where the fanservice is toned down.

Well, it's not like the whole situation is solved already and he seems the most likely party to have passed food over to Luffy. I don't think it will be an outright "I stand with Vegapunk" like what Sentomaru did unless there is no other choice at all, but he certainly ended up being a lot less self interested then I thought. Initially my take was that Akainu would be the marine final boss and the only admiral that is all for the corruption of the world goverment due to only caring about himself, but this last arc has really taken me for a loop on what to expect from him. Though if anybody checks out my posts in the thread, most of my takes have been horribly off the mark, so who the hell knows where this is going.
