It's why he's one of my favorite characters in the game. I can't take him seriously. He's just so-over-the-top evil that I can't help, but laugh whenever he does anything dickish.
The better twist in my opinion would've been that Micah was never the rat in the end a la Ray Boccino in GTA 4, he was a scumbag and he gets offed because of it but in retrospect, he was never your enemy at all

I love RDR2, love Westerns, RDO is such a chill game to plug in, but god... The more i think back about it the more issues i have with the story and the characters.

That's actually my headcanon, since I always thought Micah being the rat was just so fucking lazy. Imho, it fits the whole story way better if there was no rat at all and the gang just brought doom on themselves, because the Wild West is over and you can't get away with that stuff anymore yadayada.

Wait a minute. If you bought the PS2 to PS4 conversion before it was delisted, shouldn't it still be in your library? I haven't heard of saves converting themselves between version
I don't know. The original PS2 to PS4 port isn't in my library any longer and disappeared when I bought the Definitive Edition last year and the game progress I already had moved over.

I can live with Micah being a rat. He was a survivor first and foremost and it fits with Micah getting pinched and trading Dutch and the rest of the gang for his freedom. Yeah, he was over the top evil, but then again they needed someone like that in the gang. Everyone else was just trying to be free and follow Dutch's lies, and the gang needed a real bad guy who does bad things in it. And it gave Micah a reason to lure Dutch out of the wilderness to the mountaintop in the Epilogue. Micah's plan was for Dutch to show up, ostensibly for the ferry job money, and then turn him in to the Pinkertons. Dutch's plan was to simply kill Micah after his betrayal ate at Dutch all those years. That's why John, Charles, and Sadie's revenge ride and Arthur's plea for John to not look back didn't matter. Either Dutch gets dead or not, but the government will still need Bill and Javier dealt with later and they'll use John to do it so it comes across as ex-gang members having a falling out and they won't be made into martyrs. The only difference is whether or not it's Dutch or Micah as the last piece of the puzzle to be dealt with by John.

This is actually my headcanon too although it's for that reason, and because the gang was just causing so much shit. Despite claiming to try, and lie low, they did everything but that, and it makes sense for that to be what finally brought them down in the end.

FuzzySlippers' introspective on the forgotten GTA game.

I recall that R* wanted to expand into the handheld market. See Max Payne and Midnight Club. Up until the PSP, I believe this was R*'s best handheld adaption at the time all things considered.

I take issue with the "Up until the PSP" part because Chinatown Wars for the DS came out before that.
I'm saying that up until the PSP's lifecycle, it can be argued that GTA Advance was R*'s best handheld video game adaptation at the time. I'm not counting Chinatown Wars because that came out well after the GBA's lifecycle. Also, CW came out on the DS in 2009; Advance came out in 2004.

It seems at least one modder agrees with you.

R* is removing the Rockstar Editor feature for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA V on February 20th. For those unaware, the R* Editor is part video editor, part machinima with the GTA V engine to create, edit, and upload clips. Reason? Approaching hardware limitations.

"As we begin to approach the limits of what’s possible within the technical capacity of previous-generation consoles, we are taking necessary steps to allow for future GTA Online updates on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One," Rockstar says.

"This update will help to ensure the stability of these platforms and keep them updated with GTA Online additions for as long as possible," it adds, seemingly hinting at a future where last-gen consoles simply can't keep up and will lose GTA Online altogether.

Here's something that pisses me off to this day: the car save system from GTA V. It was awful. It didn't work. In San Andreas, you had this ability to save a car in a garage by just driving it in, and then it would basically keep respawning that car unless you did something. Don't remarkably how it would stop, because I know you could sometimes fit multiple cars/motorcycles in a garage, but the big thing is that it was reliable. You could COUNT on the car always spawning in the garage. It was inconvenient to have to stash different cars in different properties, but at the same time, that also served as a motivation to buy them, because San Andreas was also WELL BALANCED in its economy compared to GTA V.

GTA V comes along, and I think it had the same basic idea, except it was totally fucked up and would constantly glitch out removing your cars. And keep in mind, if you were dumb enough to buy a car in the game, you'd be out a ton of money because they insisted on realism in prices and payouts instead of what worked well. What's worse is that Online had this reasonably functional insurance system, where you could pay a much lower price to replace than you do to acquire for the first time. But they didn't bother implementing this in the main game despite it making more sense there.

Moreover, there are other games from BEFORE GTA V's day that got this right. Red Dead Redemption was the first to get it right by just having horse deeds give you infinite respawns of a certain type of horse, but even more relevantly, Mafia had a rule that if you drove a car it was yours forever and you could pick any car from your collection out of your garage.

For being king of the AAA world it is inexcusable that they shit the bed so badly on such a basic feature. Posting this because Mafia II reminded me of it.

I still don't get how the GTA V garage system works. Just give me the Saints Row one where it's a garage you can drive into and if you go to it you can pick whatever one you want out of the list of all the ones you own with no limit to how many you can have.

I loved this mechanic. Getting up to full speed, shooting your horse in the head, and watching John eat shit was the best.

So I'm playing San Andreas on the PS4 and I'm collecting Horseshoes. I've gotten all 50...but it's only counting 49 collected. I even went back over them just to make sure I didn't miss one and I didn't. It just only counts 49.

What a pisser.
I faced the same issue with tagging the spray-paints once. It's extremely annoying.
Where you using in-game cheats. Im sure that fucks up your collectibles/100% rating and was the case in vice city.

That's the thing, I didn't even knew how to use cheats at the time (I thought pressing the Tilde key (~) just opens a menu & that my cracked PC copy was glitched as a kid) this happened to me.

No its the button combination ones put in-game. like up down left right L2 L2 and it that clears your wanted level, gives weapons etc.

maybe I'm just full of shit and its an urban legend. Like the nude tomb raider cheat.
