Remember he can't simply jump to Partner he has to go to Affiliate first. and given how Twitch is currently "imploding" this might even be the wrong idea. Heck I checked on Twitch yesterday and on the start page I was greeted by a thot in a bikini in Just Chatting calling her stream "Twerkemon" or some bullshit. But maybe he goes to Kick to try the new pimp on the block

I'm starting to think that this whole Argentina money thing might be a bigger problem for Phil than he realizes. Phil has always maintained that he uses the money from memberships and superchats to pay his biggest monthly bills like the mortgage. This allows him to spend his tip money with impunity under the assumption that he will still be able to pay his bills when his tugboat comes on the 21st, while providing a convenient black hole for all the money he just got to instantly vanish into as he begs for more of it.

As of now, Phil is admitting that 700 of his memberships are from currencies that only net him a few cents each. His streams almost always hover around 300-500 viewers, only peaking at around 1000 when there's some unique drama or possibly for a new game release. We are probably already at the point where the next time OIC or whoever tries to drop a massive member bomb there won't be very many people who can accept them.

What happens then? Phil says "just tip me instead," of course. After all, he gets a bigger cut so it's a much better way to support. And he gets that money... right away. Do you think Phil is going to have the self control to actually budget with that money burning a hole in his bank account? I sure as hell don't. I think we're going to see a very desperate Phil around this time next month.

I think it'd mostly be a roadbump. He'd lose out initially from having to wait to get back to affiliate status, but he can still get his precious tips, which he values more than memberships as it is. But the big thing is, when he gets to play victim and jump ship, he tends to get an initial surge of support from people who want to own the trolls. As far as like, channel growth and stuff goes, he probably won't do that much better, but he's been completely stagnant on YouTube. At least in the old days with Twitch, he'd sometimes get some new viewers stumbling in and the viewbotting attempts seemed to make something of a difference. He wasn't ever front page or anything, but it'd put him higher on whatever game category he was playing.

The big thing is memberships work better on Twitch because there's no currency shenanigans, you get dents that can't otherwise tip/donate using their prime membership on Phil and gifting subs is essentially limitless and doesn't require confirmation. Then again, Phil can't look even a month into the future, so even without ego issues, I could see him being too stubborn/afraid of change to risk having a slightly lower month until he gets subscription options back.
