Nope, certainly would not, but I'm still right regardless. If you're a "Christian," then I'm a Llama. Asshole. I'm sure Jesus would be proud of you.
You're the literal reason the contemporary "Christian" church is going down in flames. Enjoy.Nope, certainly would not, but I'm still right regardless.
This is a symptom, not a cause.
If by "can't be reasoned with" you mean "debunk faulty points in detail with facts and logic", I suppose so.This is a symptom, not a cause.
The ACTUAL cause of "Christian" church failure is boneheads like you who can't be reasoned with.
Have fun winning the battles and catastrophically losing the war, you idiot. If by "can't be reasoned with" you mean "debunk faulty points in detail with facts and logic", I suppose so.
It's pretty simple, man. Someone accuses me of taking things out of context, but conveniently ignores the immediately preceding scripture to the ones they cite which completely throws out their argument, and then that somehow means I'm a serial killer and the church is collapsing because of me.Have fun winning the battles and catastrophically losing the war, you idiot.
The funniest part is you'll never, ever understand why. You'll chalk it up to prophecy or the End Times or some other silly shit.
Sorry to jump in here but this post fascinated me, so I started reading the previous exchange:If you're a "Christian," then I'm a Llama. Asshole. I'm sure Jesus would be proud of you.
I dont agree with that interpretation either. The last church service I attended recently was an Episcopalian church led by two women pastors. It was literally the first time in my life I didn't feel blatantly threatened by authority.
Do you still go to the Episcopalian church? Because this second post makes it seem like you’re more non-religious. Also, what specific sect were you a part of that was cult-like?I don't have any problems with religion as long as people leave me the fuck out of it. I don't give a single solitary flying fuck what other people believe, and you can bank on that.
Were you dropped on your head as a child? Serious question, dude. It's as if you're some kind of "facts and logic" religion AI that doesn't comprehend basic human interactions. It's pretty simple, man. Someone accuses me of taking things out of context, but conveniently ignores the immediately preceding scripture to the ones they cite which completely throws out their argument, and then that somehow means I'm a serial killer and the church is collapsing because of me.
Maybe she was just wrong, like I showed? I mean granted I'm probably not engaging in the right spirit, but the truth is what it is.
Sounds based, but alas, another big post about how I'm wrong somehow, but is filled with nothing but ad hominem. It's as if you're some kind of "facts and logic" religion AI that doesn't comprehend basic human interactions.
No, that was a one off. I don't like attending church on a regular basis, it gives me the creeps. I hate socializing.Do you still go to the Episcopalian church?
I was raised Southern Baptist, which had some troubling components but overall wasn't so bad. Later on my family got involved with the Gothard cult, which was - is - basically the "Christian" version of Scientology. Also, what specific sect were you a part of that was cult-like?
Sure, and maybe this is a pointless argument. This isn't the first time I've argued with a professed "Christian" about their apparent lack of compassion, and it won't be the last. The reason I ask is because @SSj_Ness seems to have pretty standard Christian beliefs.
The contemporary church is horseshit. It's a bunch of modern Pharisees doing off-Broadway productions of "Christianity: The Musical!" and getting rich off the collection plate.I’d like to understand a little better what you consider to be real vs LARP in Christianity.
Yeah, I don’t see you convincing the majority of Christians that they’re doing Christianity wrong. The Mormons have been at it for a century and a half to no avail.Sure, and maybe this is a pointless argument. This isn't the first time I've argued with a professed "Christian" about their apparent lack of compassion, and it won't be the last.
This is the sort of thing that’ll probably convince @SSj_Ness that it’s actually you who’s the fake Christian tbh.No, that was a one off. I don't like attending church on a regular basis, it gives me the creeps. I hate socializing.
Oh no, trying to actually be loving and accepting instead of abusing gay kids and throwing them out on the streets. The horror.
I know. It's a fool's errand. Screaming into the void sometimes makes me feel better though, so that's what I do.Yeah, I don’t see you convincing the majority of Christians that they’re doing Christianity wrong.
Good thing I don't claim to be a Christian. This is the sort of thing that’ll probably convince @SSj_Ness that it’s actually you who’s the fake Christian tbh.
Loving and accepting of people, not of their sin. The homosexual and the adulterer are both loved and accepted, but are supposed to turn away from their sinful behavior, not have it celebrated in the church.Oh no, trying to actually be loving and accepting instead of abusing gay kids and throwing them out on the streets. The horror.
And throwing a kid onto the street for being gay is abuse, as is all the other fucked up shit fundies do to their kids for being gay.Loving and accepting of people, not of their sin. The homosexual and the adulterer are both loved and accepted, but are supposed to turn away from their sinful behavior, not have it celebrated in the church.
Start your own heretical version of a religion or a whole new one instead of subverting the existing ones.
Where are you doing that again?Loving and accepting of people
Catastrophically losing the war. Maybe it's just meant to be that way.Start your own heretical version of a religion or a whole new one instead of subverting the existing ones.
Oh, my bad. I thought you had the entire Bible memorized.Good thing I don't claim to be a Christian.
