Unpopular Opinions about Video Games

It's basically treating the deaths of NPCs in a digital environment as if it were the same thing as killing a living, breathing human being. Which is fucking hilarious. That's like saying I'm killing a man when my knight takes out a pawn in Chess. Or that I'm killing people when I'm playing a tabletop game and I have my units take out the enemy units.

I mean, maybe if we're talking about contact sports like gladiator combat, jousting, and melees where people can die, this critique is well-earned, but video games don't kill people unless they're too stupid to stop playing and they forgot to eat and sleep.

I remember the one loading screen asking me about how many American soldiers I've killed up to that point. I'm like, ''BITCH, I played Modern Warfare 2, Metal Gear Rising, and Fallout 3, where you fight American soldiers that are part of groups like Shadow Company, Desperado/World Marshal, and the Enclave. Killing Yankee soldiers in video games ain't that shocking to me anymore. I've gunned down dozens of them, sliced them into pieces and tore off their spines, blew them away into giblets, and disintegrated entire platoons of them. I've grown desensitized to that kind of moralizing by this point.''

PS4 Pro's "3 layers" design is great. I don't know why people dislike it.

I miss the Spider-Man font branding from PS3. Circa 2006 to around 2009.
Specs Ops is shit because the gameplay is shit.

The levels are only corridors with abandoned cars as covers, you can only hold two guns at any given point because it's the seventh generation of consoles (the dark ages of gaming) where everyone decided to copy the Halo despite it being an awful game. The gunplay is shit, the game takes 3 hours to complete and there's nothing to explore whatsoever.

Garbage game for the worst generation of consoles. That's it, really simple stuff, but you guys can discuss the cutscenes that everyone skipped all you want, but it's not relevant.
If Spec Ops: The Line did not have the anti-war sentiment, it would've been forgotten for being a "generic, third person shooter." As Spec Ops: The Line has the right to explore such themes, you have the right to criticize it as such. I know it's a cop-out, but that's the joy of entertainment.

Anyone who still plays Undertale is a faggot
Thread-related but I'd rather play Spec Ops than play Undertale. At least in Spec Ops I revel in the violence while Undertale just wallows in a boring pixelshit artstyle with an even more boring premise.

I'm hearing contempt about the upcoming Indiana Jones title being a first-person adventure game. I don't get it. To me, I feel that design choice is for immersion to experience it THROUGH his eyes. Whether the final product is good or not remains to be seen.

I don't even know what that is, soyboy.

Common, I want hardmode.
To be perfectly honest with you, it's pretty obvious you posted the Sans Undertale and backed away when @WULULULULU mocked you. Were you implying that @Spitz is just like the easiest enemy ever from a video game because he mocked you for eating soy products? That's a pretty damn video gamey way to reply for someone who doesn't like video games. And then you just happened to type in the one specific phrase that perfectly matches Sans' battle description in Undertale. You could have just used, I dunno, the Mario Goomba or a ghost from Pac-Man after you eat the pills and they turn blue and run away. I mean, it's not a very good comeback in the first place, but you really wanted to wedge in that 2smart4u Undertale reference, which fits your personality.

Most sports games are awful but they're fun with people you know.
Anything can be fun with friends. The enjoyment comes from the company, not necessarily the experience. I don't like that argument.
