I talked to the old queens i know about Chris and they said at no point did Chris show any genuine gender dysphoria issues, to them it was all mimicking what's on line, a situation so endemic in the trans community that there are lists of answers to give Dr's avaliable on line.
To them Chris was never trans.

Chris did have some feminine tendencies early on, and he began his tomgirl antics way before the current trooner boom. I don't think he mimicked what he found on the internet, I think it was due to his only "friends" being gal-pals who took pity on him. 90% of his meager social life has been spent around women, and IMO this (combined with autism, his social ineptitude and reclusive lifestyle, the love quest, the progressive loss of sanity and finally the death of the only important male figure in his life) led to him identifying as one.

Yeah but if I recall correctly, he only went all in and started fully identifying as a woman after Bob died. Honestly not even Chris knows what's going on in his own head at this point.

Everyone has both masculine and feminine parts to there personality it's only by degrees, & even so you can lean heavily opposite to your gender in that way & it dose not mean your trans.
With Chris those issues you list are valid but do not show gender dysphoria but just an autistic man living a lonely existence, his sudden self diagnosis shows 2 things, firstly an explanation as to why his life is like it is & secondly a way to fix it.

He's always talked like a gay hick and his extreme reaction to being called gay and excessive homophobia really looked like closet case material. The autistic community has disowned Chris for more than a decade at this point. Yes, kindred spirits. Chris would have found tolerance if not acceptance and comfort in a community of genderbent denizens.

Can someone be trusted to take care of and think for themselves when they were willing to let an affected wound stay on their body because they thought it was the beginning of their womanhood?

I think there is some truth to Turkey Tom's Theory that This letter triggered an ego death in Chris.
I also think Chris didn't want to take the responsibilities of being an adult man, which he would have to do when Bob died so he started by saying Bon would live until 2015 and when it became clear that would not happen he changed to a girl because he thought then Cole or some other male relative would be forced to come take care of him since he was now one of the women of the family. To some degree I blame Barb for giving Chris the impression that women just get to lay around the house all day, have sex, and watch cartoons without taking any responsibility for themselves or their families. I don't think Chris was ever really gay or trans or whatever, I think he is just lazy and wants to be the gender that he thinks literally never has to work and that gets sex on demand. Barb really did a number on him and his warped view of the world just by being a lazy, worthless, slut jumping from one man to another who would put a roof over her head her whole life.
