It's not. Both are cluster b attempts at emotional manipulation. Most people are basically kind, so the idea that someone else is distressed enough to think about unaliving is upsetting to them. People bend over backwards without hesitation to help a loved one in crisis. The second you say you're suicidal, omg friends you haven't spoken to in years come out of the woodwork.
If you're genuinely struggling the attention is nice, and it really does save lives, because it reminds you that people do care about you.
Unfortunately, bad people exist and use other peoples innate goodness against them. It's really sad. Bad people suck. I have tremendous sympathy to suicidal people, but none for manipulative assholes. Trannies individually might be genuinely suicidal, but I'll tell them to do a flip because so many of them use it to manipulate people that even my sympathy has run out.
MAID disgusts me, but as far as I'm concerned all trannies should be both eligible and make use of it.

As the title says. I work at a school that is explicitly trans affirming. We have binders and bras for trans students, we have clothes if you need them. We take students on queer field trips. We have days where trans barbers come in to give free affirming haircuts. Gender support plans are super common. I really want to support more schools in getting on our level. If you are a teacher, or a young trans leader interested in getting proper trans supports at your school, let's collaborate. We are a regular public school. It's nothing special. Let's make this a reality for all our trans kids.

I'd like to vent. I use reddit for hobby stuff and shitty memes, including 40k (it's a tabletop game about space soldiers). Somehow, tranny numbers are exponentially increasing on the casual 40k side. It's so bad that it might be one of the game/hobby corners I know of that has the highest concentration of TIMs.
