In reality all economic woes would be solved by barring women from the workplace....that being said, no. It will not happen.

I maintain that historical unique, unidirectional female oppression is so rare that you could safely call it nonexistent. Complaints about it are pretty much universally either cases of complete inability to accept consequences of their own requests, or variants of "giant meteor destroys earth; women most affected"

Couldn't vote in all of history? Nobody could. Non-landowner suffrage is a hundred years old. Had to cook and clean? Yeah, so does anyone who metabolizes calories and doesn't want to live in filth. "We get raped!"? Yes, rape is not only against the law, but is socially considered as bad or worse than murder. I'm not sure what more you want the menfolk to do that doesn't involve clairvoyance or wrapping you in trashbags and locking you in the house.
