@Monostar Leatherknuckles, serious question, are we supposed to dislike Bai Dong-suk? You frame him as an antagonist but based racism aside, he's just trying to ensure the best for his daughters which is a pretty admirable trait. @Autistic Monkey's idea to have him as a lead alongside Elliot as buddy cop comedy would be a major improvement to Red Mist. Bai Dong-suk could be his mentor and it would give Elliot a character arc in trying to earn his respect.

Users on this site have some of the best ideas for creative works currently on the modern Internet. Unfortunately we’re cursed to have all of them ignored forever.
ETA: I don’t give a fuck about manga or anime of any kind, but if this was actually the plot of “Red Mist” I might be inclined to pick up a copy. I really like this concept.

"Racist character bad" is an incredibly boring trope for those of us who aren't sucking tranny cock. But if your character who is openly xenophobic learns to gain respect for someone, there's character growth which is more interesting. Bai Dong-suk should grow to treat Elliot with a basic respect while still believing his daughters deserve better. Maybe they become partners who own the aforementioned convenience store but the daughters still marry lawyers and Elliot instead learns to be happy with who he is rather than validating himself by getting some of that kimchi nookie.

I just wanna point out the obvious to the next Kiwi looking to give advice.
I'm not reading the entire thread again right now, but I believe he has yet to respond to anything constructive. Yet he takes his time to answer to obvious insults.
To me, the idea that he's taking any kind of note is. I'd bet he sees it as beneath him coming from the NEO NAZI site, or even as perceived slights.

The anatomy of this really scuffed, not to mention her shirt is literally floating and her shoulder isn't connected to her neck. Her kneecaps are also completely fucked.
This is somehow both too competent to be believable for your project, and yet so incompetent I buy it.
Also, why is her uniform that of a sailor akin to the Japanese school-girl uniforms? Considering a lot of S. Korean highschool girls would wear something like this

Real shit for a second; what type of help did you want from Kiwifarms? Drawing, Writing, Story Construction, Plot development, structure, a place to toss ideas around, etc?

Proko Comics Playlist- Proko is a very insightful YouTuber who has collaborated with Marvel artists to construct comics with complete breakdowns on the subject. Also has a series on figure drawing and anatomy that's free and VERY worth watching. The trick is first to watch the video to understand it, then rewatch it and follow along with the drawing. Make a specific sketchbook dedicated solely to anatomy and figure drawing, and you'd be surprised how much you could improve.

David Finch - Ooh mama. David Finch has some fantastic videos on comics and anatomy, among other things. His videos are incredibly insightful, and he makes concepts very easy to understand.

if you want non-kiwi criticism, I'm sure you have a Reddit. R/WorldBuilding exists for people to sperg about their stories and characters online. You can engage with the questions the community asks and talk about your series to your heart's content. If you post, you need it to "have effort". I'd recommend reading their rules so you understand what I mean. This is where creators like Mystery Flesh Pit thrive, so it has its fair share of passionate artists within its disgusting Reddit walls. Will the advice you get be amazing? No. But it can be fun to share your story with others tbh.

If you need One-on-one advice and a place with many professionals who know what tf is up, the site Scribophile is stupendous. Now, if you want people to read your content, you first need to engage and help other members before you can submit your own story. It's a place with genuine publishers and really good writers with full-length books under their belts. It's an excellent place to build community. Just don't use your LeatherKnuckle name there. Use a different name so people can't track you, google you, and see your Twitter Loli collection, or find this thread. I doubt they'd look it up, but it's better to be safe.

Ian Irvine - Lots of great information here; it features details from an experienced writer and has his page dedicated to his stuff. It has a whole series under "For Writers" about writing that I've always personally enjoyed. This is a personal fav.
Reedsy - Lots of resources to use, generators, and a newsletter that sends out some super great info. High Recommend.
Greek Art Gallery - Little bit of everything.
Obsidian - Obsidian is a private and flexible writing app that adapts to your thinking. It's fantastic for keeping track of worlds, stories, lore, etc. You can save it all to a cloud, private drive, etc., which is phenomenal. Download it and watch a few tutorials on how to use it. It's leagues better than something like Microsoft Word AND it also allows you to export everything super easily as a PDF once it's finished
It just has a minor learning curve.
Six Tried and True Methods for Writing a Novel - Understanding how you write best is crucial. Even though you're going for a comic/manga style, having a rough draft in simple writing is also very useful. This can explain six methods for writing that can really help to flesh out the plot and characters. I would recommend Snowflake method (lol). Despite the name, it's actually a really useful method that I use myself.
Stephen King - On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft - writing guide by Stephen king, what can I say? If you look hard enough you can prob find a free PDF. You could even download the app "Libby" or use it on the computer and use your local library card to sign in and have access to digital books and see if it's there.

Fucking anything by Andrew Loomis, dude redefined art, learning from his methods is really useful as an artist. Proko uses a lot of his techniques.
This is also just scratching the surface. I've been developing my own comic for a while so I have a handful of resources. It's not everything, but it's a good start.

Alphonso Dunn - AMAZING pen artist, shows how to do texture and drawing with only an ink pen. If you want to learn cool ways to add texture to your pieces, he's a great source.
Proko Drawing Fundamentals - If you're a beginner artist, this is amazing to get a first grip on information. It's designed for new artists and goes over a lot of the basics.
Proko Anatomy - Not sure where the original playlist is but this is Proko's anatomy course. Do this AFTER the fundamentals and the gesture course

Characters appear to be superficial personality-wise and designed with the same philosophy as Tumblr users. Could not pay me to read this without falling asleep. Was gonna give some pointers like the paneling being generic and style being unflattering (Who draws their character reference sheets for a Manga in Ibis Paint?) but everyone else has given more than enough resources to aid you.
This "story" should be left in a notebook hidden in a dusty drawer as an example of what not to do, not on the shelves of Japanese stores for $50 a volume.
