Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

First of all, I didn't even know there was a season 2 of Bad Batch. Looks like Ventress being in this season is going to be a major selling point, because Filoni doesn't even make new characters anymore. All he does is recycle shit from The Clone Wars (especially the women) and pretend that he's telling a new story.

Oh hey, and it says here that this is the final season. Who wants to bet actual, real life money that none of these characters (aside from maybe Crosshair) is going to bite it? Omega at least is guaranteed to go off and join Ahsoka in the hall of "Immortal Characters"
Ten bucks says Ahsoka and Ventress will be scissor sisters. You just know Furloni has had Rule 34 pics made of that.

So I guess we can add Dark Disciple to the list of "All new 100% CANON!" novels that are no longer Canon because Dave wants to do his own thing.

I can predict the plot for the Rey movie, using current movie trends and what Disney seems to be only capable of doing for Star Wars.

Ahem.

Rey creates a New-New Jedi Order after TROS, but oh noes, Palpatine returns from DA MULTIVERSE (its a Palpatine variant where he's played by a black woman like Queen Latifah) and xhe kills all of the New-New-Jedi Order and the New-New-Republic with the GALAXY DESTROYER, which is like Starkiller Base but it blows up an entire galaxies instead of systems (compare that to the Death Star, which only blows up a planet, take that OTcels) and now it's up to a plucky group of friends including Rey and her all-female identifying squad alongside the Opposition (ran out of synonyms for the word 'Rebels') verus the Imperium of Palpatinekind who of course, have Stormtroopers.

Oh and it starts with the Star Wars Legends Galaxy (and universe, Yuuzhan Vong getting solo'd by Palpatine) getting destroyed off-screen to show how heckin' powerful Palpatine is and to establish them as a SRS threat to the heroes.

You're making the bold assumption that the crayon-eating manchildren that fap to Filoni's shows even care about consistency or canon over fanservice.

The Virgin Brom Titus: throws out continuity for a quick hit of nostalgia.

The Chad Joe Bongiorno: fuck it, find a way to make everything canon, including D6 rpg content in a French magazine.

Speaking of which, @Mississippi Motorboater have you read Supernatural Encounters yet? I figured that you’d be up on that given Bongiorno’s inclusion of esoteric lore elements.

It'll be even more retarded.

They'll have the New New Republic. Just called, The Republic. Mon Mothra will be the chancellor. Aged up with make-up. She'll now have a black husband.

Rey will have Kylo's child. Somehow. This is in the supposed leaks but we all assumed this anyway. Rey can't have a man worthy of her. The top Jedi Student in Rey's academy will be a black female. Possibly a lesbian/non-binary. There'll be a male student who is falling to the dark side, but not because of Rey's teachings failing.

There'll be a statue of Luke and he'll be referred to as great, trying to ignore what they did to him.

Then the plot will involve the remaining Imperials. They'll ditch the first order. Just be Imperials. Who are Nazi's and they'll have a plan to time travel to stop the events of the original films. It'll go full-on Back to the Future, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in the plot. Rey and her top students go back into the events of the OT to thwart the space Nazi's plan to alter history. They'll be in the background ensuring the original events of the films happen. We'll have them in the background of key events. Even have them crossing paths to unknowing CGI-headed versions of the original characters. Rey and Luke will have a moment were he senses something but is unsure.

They'll be the real heroes of the events of the OT.

As absolutely retarded as this idea is. Does it sound something out of the realms of what you'd expect from the low standards we have of the current Disney Lucasfilm?

You know, I've never even liked yellow lightsabers. It's a pure novelty. Personally, I've been fine with blue and green all these years.
So does OG Battlefront 2. Probably because the Jedi Sentinel class was so mediocre in KOTOR 1. Which goes to show Kreia is right because Sentinel is a really good class in KOTOR 2 and it's the Guardians that are mediocre. All those skill dumps in Awareness and Treat Injury and it doesn't let them figure out how to get past mines or use computers or fix droids, no wonder the Jedi only win wars with MacGuffin characters.

Wasn't that pretty much the original script before they fired the dude and hired the feminist director? Rey is grandmaster but the hot shit uberJedi is some female black chick who don't need no man. So basically Daisy is getting 12.5 million (LOL) to play Luke from TLJ. Amazing.

I don't come on here very much but Goddammit, can't they just stop. Wait 5 or 6 years and do a stupid Mando and Grogu movie if you have to, but no more than 1 show a year either. I grew up on this shit and I hate it now. I don't even want to watch the OT anymore. Like maybe ever. I mean Empire Strikes Back will always been my favorite movie for many reasons, but give it a break you morons. Let some damn time happen to build up some hype or more nostalgia. There will be people that'll be nostalgic even for the ST after awhile, maybe not many and not for ROS for sure, but there will be something to deal with at least.

It's inevitable that in a few years, a bunch people are going to crawl out of hiding like rats and declare that the Sequels were actually fantastic movies. Unlike the prequels, they won't have a single leg to stand on to show why but that won't stop them.

Then they'll make something even worse than the ST and people will go 'yeah, we were right, those sequels were classics'.

Ventress had a proper send off with Dark Disciple and its their fuck up for not adapting it on the last season of Clone Wars instead of having turd shaped hair sisters and their filler-eque plots. But this is Feloni, he has a serious case of not knowing when to let go of his characters (even if she isnt originally his, she is a 2003 C.W creation).

The many many problem with bringing characters back is that you risk them already having their arcs capped off perfectly with their deaths ruined. And now the character doesnt have what to do anymore. Death is a significant thing in our world, when one is gone, they simply dont come back and we like to think that such event is as significant in fiction as it is in the real world, even if its not real. So when the ressurection trope is used cheapily like that, it cheapens the concept of death as now you arent so afraid for the characters for they already returned from the great beyond.
And you know the explanation will basically be "magic" and thats it. It all reeks of Feloni not letting go and the last season of Bad Batch needing an "extra" hook because I think the series didnt do exactly well, at least not C.W numbers. The same way that The Book of Boba Fett had Cad Bane as its hook and we all know how that turned out.

I cant believe Im gonna say this but I legit miss when characters actually died because of basic continuity. They might as well reveal Padme is alive but in hiding or something. Sure, it ruins the tragic romance between Anakin and her, with all his sacrifices being for nothing as now there is nothing but a charred monster into a mobile black coffin with a lot of self loathing but hey, *jiggling keys*
this is what this franchise has come to. Jiggling keys.

And I love how the "fans" say "oh, Star Wars always was stupid" as a cope/gaslighting tactic to make it seem S.W was always this garbage. No, it wasnt and no amount of "whataboutism" with the dumb shit of the prequels and Legends will ever make this "canon" continuity okay in my eyes.

Then they'll make something even worse than the ST and people will go 'yeah, we were right, those sequels were classics'.

Hard doubt there, even normies dont like the sequels. The prequels were a flawed but great looking painting. The sequels are a finger painting done by dumb clueless kid. Even if they make something that are like a finger painting made of shit by a slow in the mind, it still wont exactly make the finger painting by the clueless kid okay.

Honestly, just freaking do it already. End this charade.

My inner star wars fan is just grabbing the pistol, placing it on their forehead and screaming for Disney for fire.

What a retarded idea, make a movie based on a tv show which viewership has been going down and will require people to have watched the tv show first.
The biggest issue is the fact that if it's a theatrical release the writers can't half-arse their scripts under the assumption that the audience isn't really paying attention, if it's written like the show is it's going to get panned for being dull and nonsensical.
Not sure if Luke would want this 4.5/10 woman in a sexy maid costume tbh
She's a 6 at worst.
Looks like Ventress being in this season is going to be a major selling point
She looked better bald.

Nah, the sequel fans are either brand loyalists who'll gobble up whatever slop you put in front of them and ask for seconds, or they're virtue signalling lefties who praise TLJ for whatever reason people liked it for who won't care for the new stuff unless it allows them to signal even harder if they like it. The sequels have nothing that would actually give them cultural staying power and nobody's going to bat for them over the OT or the Prequels.
