If the base size is right and it fills up about the same space, I let it ride. It's more likely to fly at a GW store because it's a GW model that's available for sale. There's some pretty good proxies in the 3d printing realm, too.
These are available on Etsy.

just a heads up, you might get some of them cheaper via
https://only-games.co/ - it's the physical printing service from MMF, they bought them a while back (they also got color printing). it's still MMF so eh, best course for now is still finding someone local to print it for cheap or find a third-party service with enough volume it uses inket (or maybe SLA).
Technically, Owlcat isn't a company that bathes in wokeness, they just work with how they're told to make stuff. So, if we go by the 2 Pathfinder games, Paizo had a bigger control over the development and telling what OwlCat should add, even though the "woke" stuff was surface shit at best.
owlcat is woke enough, afaik companions in kingmaker (besides the iconics) are all on them, including the cuck/bisexual orc. iirc tthere was also some stuff from the writers that they were planning to pozz it even harder.
the troon in wrath is based on the AP tho.
If you wanna have a good laugh, I believe 2 years ago, Paizo changed the Liches "phylactery" to "soul cage", because the former was tied to Jewish fate and they didn't wanna offed anyone or something like that. Combined, they removed the word "race" and changed it to "ancestary"
don't forget purging slavery from the setting because MUH FEELS.
the thing about paizo tho is that they're old-school woke. wrath was originally written in 2013, which is a bit before the whole troon thing really kicked off. insofar they are "honest" woke (if you could call it that) instead of pandering like WOTC etc. does and going apeshit with it (fucking black aragorn).
You definitely have to start with something at a smaller scale. Even though we all would love to see huge bitchin’ battles and shit, if they actually want this to work with a franchise like 40K there needs to be grounded smaller stuff that can naturally build up to the big stuff.
wouldn't be surprised if it's mostly human-centered on some hive world, since you can start cheap on a soundstage this way. then slowly tilt towards chaos and corruption, which is also cheaper to do (no expensive alien makeup), while dropping enough exposition and background-lore (with some easter eggs) along the way. then go all out in the finale where you finally see shit go down and they can spend most of the VFX budget.
I just hope they don't turn the space marines into yet another turtle, even in armor they can still move like normal.
