Not wishing to speak up for Robyn here in any way, but there is also the mental load of having a nearly-dead potato around. Even if you're not doing much more than a sponge bath, setting up a feed and putting her chair somewhere the damn dog can't get to and chew on her, you've still got the knowledge that your potato genuinely might stop breathing at any second weighing you down for the other 23 hours of the day.
That would drive me absolutely crazy and I think is the reason why Robyn has become so delusional. She'd rather pretend Luna is just another kid with likes and dislikes and sass, rather than face the truth she's a tater on the brink of death.

I think Glenn, despite his flaws, sees things for what they are and is a dreading a future with Luna if she continues to live. He knows his wife will never leave the house, everything will always revolve around Luna and he'll have to be the sole provider for several years, if not decades to come. He has distanced himself from his daughter and quietly accepted the grim reality. You can even see it in his body language like that picture Robyn took of them having lunch together.

That shunt was just another very bad decision it seems. Sad.

It is sad. I agree with what @everybody in Portugal said, and I try to keep in mind it’s possible that the guilt from causing Luna’s condition and not dealing with their grief from essentially losing that child has led to what we see today. And also globyn are very, very stupid and crass. All that mixed with grotesque narcissism makes for a very distasteful public display.

I didn't cover the mental burden. The day will come where they will have to face their gods and defend their sins, but in the meantime their souls weigh heavy and terrified that the child they broke and robbed of personhood will stop breathing, and terrified that she won't and she will continue her suffering another day.
They're in a hell of their own making.
Good jooob Luna.

I'm also tempted to believe Glenn secretly resents Robyn for the decision to shunt Luna, which it's safe to assume was her decision. It might be a stretch but chances are good if it wasn't for the shunt, Luna would be at peace now and they could perhaps somehow get past this instead of living in constant limbo.

Kid watches enough educational type TV so that he knows some words, but his mom is not giving him a chance to practice them.
On this note, I find it interesting that Robyn is so far up her own ass with "holistic wellness" woo, but she not only allows Atlas to have screen time, she lets him watch fucking Blippi, which even I, a miserable childless witch, know to be utter trash. Is the ~*~electromagnetic frequency~*~ from an iPad somehow exempt from the pseudoscientific bullshit that underpins Robyn's entire belief system? That's very convenient. Can't get a prenatal ultrasound, can't vaccinate the children, can't feed the dog nutritionally appropriate food, can't drink pasteurized milk, but the iPad has good juju.

Toddlers don't need screen time. I don't want to make anyone here feel bad, because I'm really only here to judge Globyn and I recognize that some screen time in early childhood is probably unavoidable in most situations. I get that being hands-on with a very young child 24 hours per day every day is mentally and physically demanding. Nobody should be expected to be "on" all the time, and if television or the iPad can give an exhausted parent half an hour to take a shower or eat a sandwich or scream into the void, so be it. Do what ya gotta do. In a household with a profoundly disabled child like Luna, screen time is probably a lifesaver, and they can't really latch the proverbial barn door now that Atlas knows about it. If they must let him watch, though, why not something with nominal educational value? Sesame Street, Daniel Tiger, even old episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood would at least give plausible deniability to Robyn's claim to being so deeply invested in the well-being of her family.

It's definitely not the first example of Robyn's hypocrisy we've seen, though. Remember all the In-N-Out we've spotted in the background of her Instagram photos and stories?

Yeah I don't know what Blippi is, but I would think if a toddler has to watch something PBS kids stuff and other decent educational programs would be best. Especially since Sesame Street was developed to be a substitute for preschool for underprivileged kids who didn't have access to it.

Not Calliou though. That shit has no redeeming qualities.

That's something I noticed too, especially when Luna was sat in front of Frozen (perhaps because it's what normal little girls tend to be into) - from my experience hippies aren't supposed to be on board with big corporations like Disney, in the view of people like Robyn they're just as bad as big pharma trying to poison our kids with vaccines!!!111!!11 but it makes about as much sense as Robyn herself spending all day on Instagram rather than going out for nature walks or other hippie activities. Not easy when you're stuck with a brain-dead child on the brink of death, but being natural and healthy! is her entire brand and it's hard to believe people fall for it.

Blippi is Barney but somehow worse.

Honestly she should turn on some Bluey and teach Atlas how to have an imagination, since he's gonna need one with being confined to the house 24/7 once the baby is born.

I don't know what Blippi is
You sweet Summer child. Blippi is so annoying he makes the Teletubbies seem like quality entertainment. Banned in my household.

I wonder if the OTT mourning for an 8-10 week old fetus isn't actually fueled by their actual loss of Luna. I know some people are very attached to their fetii even that early, but it seems extreme - particularly when she's already knocked up and pretty far along with their "rainbow" crotch goblin. She can't publicly mourn her loss of Luna without having to actually face the loss and her role in it. But she can cry about a clump of cells that sends her hummingbirds because then she's just such a spiritual Mama bear.

On the flip side, it could also be performative to try and get pity and other narcissistic supply. That or she's mourning the Original Character Donut Steel she created of the dead embryo, not the dead embryo itself (since it's doubtful she knew it's sex or anything, since it was a goddamn embryo that noped out within the first few weeks like a good chunk of pregnancies).

I think she's also trying to use it as an excuse to get involved in the pregnancy loss community and the bounty of narcissistic supply she can milk from it (maybe even get a few suckers for her pyramid schemes).

And they appear to be at fucking Cheesecake Factory in that latest set of photos. Raw milk only, but Cheesecake Factory is perfectly acceptable to this crunchy granola empathetic nutritionist holistic red light lovin' mama.

I dunno... I think I tend to want to find a little less fault in Glenn because he at least pats attention to Atlas so he can, at times, be a little redeeming. But I think it's obvious Robyn is mentally ill and he's just chugging along with her shenanigans. If anything, I find him a bit more repugnant than her because I think she genuinely believes the shit she spews and does, and if you guys are correct and he knows better, he's enabling it.

Either way, they're both gross and I would not let Glenn borrow my car.

Asking a child who is learning words to express their innermost thoughts about this disabled trail you found is dumb
This is such a good point that I hadn't thought of.
If you've ever tried to have a conversation in a new language you know this pain of being asked an open ended question that you have an answer in your head but you can't say it because you don't have the vocabulary or grammar yet. You'll be able to understand the question just fine, through context cues or hearing words/grammar that spark you memory, but your ability to express coherently isn't quite there yet.
You might resort to just saying "nevermind", or miming your answer, or saying nothing at all.

But if the person you're speaking with gives you a closed question, you can easily answer yes or no to show you understand.

eg.
"Tell me about what you usually do on your birthday?"

vs.

"Do you usually have a party for your birthday? How many people do you invite? Do you eat cake at the party?"

Whenever I see Glenn I’m reminded that at one point during Robyn’s delivery with Luna she wanted to go to the hospital but Glenn reminded her she wanted a home birth.

Even if she said “don’t take me even if I ask” he’s a grown man with agency to either
Believes in woo shit just as much as her
Is so stupid it’s a form of negligence
DGAF
All of the above

I hold him more responsible for the potatoing because even granola mama knew something was up during labor. He could have prevented it from happening but was just like “nah”

ETA he also absolutely could have forced Robyn into the hospital when Atlas was born but still was 100% into the water birth shit
