This is backwards. The police have no duty to help you, so there is no liability for failure to act, even if they're extremely negligent in doing so. This has been well established by SCOTUS cases involving some of the most heinous sets of facts, e.g. cops ignoring pleas to rescue children resulting in the children being killed by psychos.

In other words, they could ignore these calls, and if one turned out to be legit and something awful happened they couldn't be sued. However, if they act on a call and fuck up badly enough, they could be held civilly and even criminally liable (assuming the cops are white and the dead guy is black, of course).

swattings are a serious nuisance at best, at worst they get innocent people killed. Their prevalence has only increased over the years and authorities will want to set an example.

I hope for consecutive sentencing for each and every one of his crimes. After a decade in prison in one state, he steps out a free man only to be arrested immediately to serve his sentence in another. Repeat for the next 30 to 40 years.

I sincerely hope he is fully released in his late 50's to early 60's.

Gotta disagree here.

He will adapt to prison life to a point where he is comfortable and his last years will be a drain on the state. It's much better to release him in his late 50s to early 60s.

With all his lifetime earnings potential gone, we can look forward to him shuffling his cripple ass around as an employee of Walmart before he dies on their floor.
