Someone correct me if I' wrong, but when the Shadiversity IGG campaign was happening, EVS wanted to do an interview on his channel with Shad only, Smiller not allowed. That was a few days after Smiller made a guest appearance on CG Kings, which went very badly, with Malin constantly shitting on him.

The Shad/EVS interview never happened, right? EVS got straight up ignored, I think.

I don't think he has a choice now if he spent the campaign money and can't cover delivery. I think the eBay auction above selling artifacts from these manufactured drama streams confirms it.

He doesn't even have to have spent all the campaign money.

Some of those campaigns were funded before large upticks in printing costs, and shipping costs. Not to mention general inflation.

Even if he didn't touch a dime of it, he's going to lose a big chunk of "muh millions" to costs that he wouldn't have if he had worked in a timely fashiion.

@PaladinBoo I haven't followed the whole comicsgate stuff too closely. Never been a fan. I guess I'm like Null in that respect.

Only $0.02 I have to offer is EVS should be focused on his work. Instead, much like we've seen happen with Rekieta, he seems to have been caught up in the drama so much that the drama has replaced the art itself. But years from now, nobody will care about what the commentary community was talking about today. The art will outlast it.

Despite even what Null has said about ISOM on MATI, ISOM is an artistic endeavor that might outlast Eric July, even after he is long dead. EVS's little commentary videos will be forgotten tomorrow. All this is to say EVS really needs to get off the internet and just write comics. EVS needs to stop being jelly about Eric's success and just do his own thing.

Again, just my $0.02. Maybe I'm completely off key here and I don't really get what this is all about. But from an outsider's point of view, this is my gut feeling.

The dog book was actually good. Narwhal didn’t do the artwork for that one. That was Monica Maccagni.
