I've had a scrap tire pile about 20 feet into my neighbor's property for over 20 years. Not a word has ever been said. Do I now own that part of his land? While you can do this through adverse possession (claim someone else's land by squatting on it) the amount of time you have to maintain continuous residency makes it infeasible in 99% of all cases. (The time varies by jurisdiction, but, we're talking like 3 - 5 YEARS as a typical scenario)
And the instant you are noticed doing it and told to stop? That resets the clock, back to zero, the law only triggers with continuous residency, not cumulative.
Also, under adverse possession "Residency" is more than just pitching a tent or parking an RV over the hill and out of sight of the legitimate owner. You have to also do maintenance/improvements as needed, pay the utilities, pay the taxes, get mail delivered there, etc. So even if you manage to live in someone's broom closet undetected for 20 years, unless you were paying the mortgage on the house, you can't claim it though AP.
So yeah, even if these people weren't kooks to start with? They didn't meet the ACTUAL legal requirement either.
Oh, and using the mail to defraud someone? That's a trip to the Federal Pokey for sure...... stupid, stupid, stupid.
You can put a lien on his property till you get your scrap tire pile back.I've had a scrap tire pile about 20 feet into my neighbor's property for over 20 years. Not a word has ever been said. Do I now own that part of his land?
Does he now own my scrap tire pile?
So, I'm a cheapskate Jew, and scrap tires cost money to get rid of where I live. What if I wanted to turn my scrap tire pile into his scrap tire pile, without him knowing? Preferably with plausible deniability? You can put a lien on his property till you get your scrap tire pile back.
The Moorish sovereign movement began to spread in the US in the 1990s, when groups and individuals latched onto MSTA beliefs that Moors inhabited what became the Americas hundreds of years before American Indians, thus granting them self-governing, “nation-within-a-nation” status, and exemptions from laws like paying taxes or regulations like those surrounding property ownership. However, several MSTA factions have disavowed the anti-government spin Moorish sovereigns put on their beliefs.
So do they belong in the Kangz or in the Sovereign Citizen thread? The Moorish Sovereign Citizens are apparently an offshoot of the Black oriented Moorish Science Temple of America (MSTA).
From the linked page:
Both?So do they belong in the Kangz or in the Sovereign Citizen thread?
They might deserve their own since they are greater than the sum of their parts. Both?
