I’m surprised no one mentioned this but Jet telling Brian during the finale that he was his favorite just shows how incredibly out of touch he is.
At the end of season one Jet claimed that Caminos was his favorite bit. The guy that nobody even remembers. Jet sucks and hasn't learned anything. That isn't going to change.

The best thing Jet did this season was spend less time on camera.

I stopped watching the last couple days and I don't feel anything reading the results. I also took a 4-5 day break midseason after Charleston White. This season sucked, thank god I never spent any money on it. I don't have any faith in the wiggers to pull off anything they say they're gonna do different next season, they made a lot of promises for S2 too and look where that got us. Whether the show is good or not is irrelevant as long as it continues to make money, it's just a packaged entertainment product. I'll have to keep looking to find what I want.

Jet reminds me of this guy I know from high school who still uses his yearbook picture as his Facebook pfp in his 30s.

No idea how any of you can stand to watch just a single minute of this utter slop.

JET IT UP

I checked out during the "piss yourself" challenge and knew that TJ was going to win, so I didn't bother pulling an all-nighter to watch this shit. There is nothing else to be said and the "post mortem" reports from the last pages summed up the whole thing quite well. The only thing that I'm wondering about is, if this season actually made profit or losses. Other than that:
  • Will TJ actually haul his ass to Florida to fuck Taylor? Or will he be sucked out of every penny from her due to her crippling gambling addiction?
  • Will Jimmy turn out to be a bigger clown than he is now and earn his own thread?
  • Will Channing continue her gayops and earn her own thread as well? She already does deserve it, but no one can be assed to do it so far.
  • Will Shinji start a streaming career (doesn't have to be Twitch, Nico Nico Douga would also count) and rake in more shekels than the production will ever give him?
  • Will the wiggers actually learn something from this trashfire of a season? They probably won't, it's about "advancing the culture" LOL
Who knows, maybe some of you fellow dang dirty kiwi FREAKS will check on the retards and post about how they'll be holding up after the tank. It was a lot of fun watching it regardless of the circumstances and I'm happy I didn't miss the best parts of the show (especially the first 5-14 days) while sneeding in the Kiwichat. Thank you Dear Feeder for keeping it up.

See you niggers in Season 3.

Another thing about the finale from what I'm reading is it ended late last night? Like after 11 EST? S1 ended in perfect primetime hours. S1 also started on a Monday and ended on a Monday, a perfect 6 weeks, while S2 ended 2 days early for some reason. It's little things like that that show you how little the crew cares.

Thanks to this thread for all the memes that made this season slightly more tolerable. It was fun spamming "Coddle tank" at 2AM in the sneedchat. The fact they already said Fatty will be there next season doesn't fill me with hope that they'll learn from this season's mistakes, but we'll see...

Fun show. I think the highs this season were higher for me, but it was even more of a shit show overall than last season. As much as I want to blame Jet, the problem was mostly the casting. All the likable fish this season were literal losers in every sense of the word. The winners were losers too, and boring unlikeable ones.

My personal highlights are still multiple fish thinking the house making creaking sounds is a secret message or clue, and everything Greg. Them “holding him hostage” for a week when he only expected to be there an hour was fucking HILARIOUS. Every time liquid beast was on screen saying something I was smiling.

Those 2 things made me a lot happier than season 1 ever did, but season 1 was the more cohesive project, and it seemed like it had more effort put into it.

I think the sharks were sorely missed this season. Jet needs to fuck off. This season had so much buddying up to production, it should be all the fish hate the sharks. The guy who decides your fate being some dude that is spiteful of the audience and goes around doing unfunny bits is pure cancer. Dudes in squid game suits fucking everything up is fun. There was never any tension in the house, even all the fish could see everything was being made up by the minute.

The biggest weakness is no structure, no rules. Nothing makes sense. That can be funny when done sparingly, but when it is 5 weeks of nonsense everyone gets sick of it, contestants and viewers.

Did Brian do a single interesting thing in his short time back during the finale?
His NPC task was to walk around slowly and eliminate someone from a round if he caught them and do -1 point. Because the rules had changes no less than 4 times over the course of the finale he was only used once by Tay on Shinji when she did both Brian and a curse. The rules changed and you could only do one NPC action per round rather than one action per NPC per round the obvious game mechanic to exploit was just continuously cast curses over and over. Had the original mechanic remained where you could use each NPC service once per round she probably could have roleplayed immunity from curses from Fatty each round in the way TJ negiotiated chips from Fatty, but since everything in the show is so halfassed they didn't bother to sit down and write out rules in advance, not to mention Tay was so burned out and frustrated that I doubt she could even muster the willpower to deal with anything that wasn't formally structured. There was a brief period where Tay managed to rally and surpass Shinji only for her to be blindsided by Fatty giving TJ enough chips for 3 curses on her which sent her into oblivion as she suffered two rounds in a row of getting double cursed.

I think I've just been grumpy for the past week of Fishtank but the ending sucked to me. Skipping over Frank in the curtain call (of sorts) was funny.

Maybe I have rose-tinted glasses but I don't feel like the highs of season 2 surpassed season 1's and its lows, which drug out for hours or days, were abysmal. When season 1 ended and everyone walked out the back door I thought, "Huh... now what?" and was kinda sad it was over. With season 2 I've counted the days for 2 weeks and was wanting them to hurry things along but didn't want to tune out since I was curious how they'd attempt to salvage this season and how it'd compare to season 1's save by Sam. Well they never really saved it and it was a boring day. I feel bad for Tay but honestly don't care that she lost, she was deliberately screwed over by production as far as I'm concerned. Brian showed up because Jet liked him and that's literally the only reason he's there which is a great reflection of what Jet is all about.

A terrible season that I think is more representative of what Fishtank is and will be than season 1 where they got incredibly lucky on top of having an incredible cast. I'll probably just pop in here and there for season 3 but can't see myself caring all too much anymore.
The final week of the show is probably the most insane shit I've ever seen in a "production." The house was just a desiccated ruin full of rubble, foul smelling carpets and jaded, hostile people. They would be forcibly awoken at noon only to do absolutely nothing but sit and stare at the walls doing modest chitchatting and dozing until 5am when they went to sleep, just to repeat the process for nearly 4 days straight. Tay would just chain smoke cigarettes until she ran out while walking back and forth between rooms just to burn off excess energy, she couldn't even do the basic boxing training she was taught because every room of the house was covered in wood, paint, drywall and nails. Tay went from being the undisputed front runner acknowledged by all to a shadow of herself in the finale dropping many events she normally would have been able to handle, and thats not to point out the fact she was baited into getting shitfaced drunk the night before by Sam for an advantage in the finale only to have Frank get too handsy.

41 days of torture like she did.
Josie's experience in S1 is absolutely incomparable to the insanity of S2. Even people like Fatty and Tai who were there for S1 admit that S2 was far more taxing mentally on the fish than the worst days of S1. The cast was the strongest feature of S2 and they were continously ridden hard and put away wet daily and the production crew whining about them being uninteresting outside of challenges was insulting given that they weren't given food beyond loot crate Ramen that they were eating dry and grits for weeks. The S1 crew had shortages of alcohol, the S2 crew had no fucking food for weeks.

I have no fucking idea how an episodic format of this season would even be possible, whatever it turns out to be will be vastly different from what the people who watched it live experienced because its obvious Sam and Jet want to showcase some kind of narrative arc for all of the fish and likely would cast Tay as the villain in this story when in reality she is the biggest victim in the show, she was forced to carry the entire back thing on her back doing stuff contrary to her nature for weeks at a time via challenges issued by Jet that everyone would ignore and just laze around, only for the challenge to be subverted by Jet again when used against his favorites. When she entered the tank she was practically moved to tears at the thought of being forced to fuck people over and this remained literally to the last day when she was forced to steal TJ's chips and when approached and queried as to why she did this her voice started quivering again because she hates doing evil things. Using selective editing you can easily make Tay out to be fully down with fucking with people when you use a single sentence here and there during confessionals.

I really hope Tay manages to use some of the connections she made on the show such as Danye and Alex Stein to get a good job and live a comfortable life because she suffered way more than any fish in the tank and was screwed over by production choices one after another. Alex Stein could potentially refer to someone inside the right-wing grifterverse and get her a job on the staff of one of those shows, she is good at holding one sided conversations as shown in her confessionals and crocheting TTS sessions and she is quite pretty when able to bathe and groom herself. Shame it will take about 2-4 years for her hair to get back to where it was in size, but wigs are always an option and she said she is buying one immediately when she gets home.

Fun show. I think the highs this season were higher for me, but it was even more of a shit show overall than last season. As much as I want to blame Jet, the problem was mostly the casting. I disagree, I think the cast was just fine, it was production choices that would isolate, frustrate and drive the best fish into deplorable states of mind that would frustrate them into quitting or spaz the fuck out in the case of Jimmy. Summer and Megan can just be written off as too mentally unstable, JC was the first victim of the dogpile for her chip stealing antics and she just left. Cole was the next victim of the attack therapy shit and he got frustrated when osctracized and kept venting at how halfassed the show was and because they were just repeating stuff from S1 a lot, Jimmy was denied medication for weeks and only right as he started stabilizing on them he got focused by Ben and Jet into an extremely foul mood and targeted by other fish. Tay is the only one to survive multiple dogpiles and come out strong after them but she just couldn't carry the entire fucking show on her back as even Sam was largely checked out from following or participating in it, let alone the halfassing from Jet and Ben. The more entertaining, and interesting the fish was the more they were ridden into the ground and destroyed. No casting agency will be able to prevent this, they have delusions they're going to get a full roster of people motivated like Tay and Danye but in reality they're going to get a bunch of JC who are there for a bit of fame and will walk off when asked to force themselves to vomit during a hotdog eating challenge. In both S1 and S2 the MDE fans were the ones that did the most debased things for entertainment of the audience.

The biggest weakness is no structure, no rules. Nothing makes sense. That can be funny when done sparingly, but when it is 5 weeks of nonsense everyone gets sick of it, contestants and viewers.
This is the issue with S2. It was funny in S1 when it was a new and untested concept. The goal of the show is to be entertaining but there needs to be structure and a well thought out calendar of events for literally each day and large segments of each day blocked out in advance with challenges that directly occupy the time like the Triatholon or The Cell, and then challenges that are given to take time during periods that are blocked out for the fish to be themselves and do entertaining things. The final two weeks of the show were just entirely improv from Fatty and Oliver doing their currency/point things with Tay doing literally all of the Jet missions to fuck over other contestants on to find herself getting fucked when the results got overturned when she chose to use them against Jet's favorite TJ instead of the expected Trish she was feuding with.

Season 1 was notorious for kicking out a pedophile, season 2 will live in infamy for being rigged in favour of a pedophile who jacks it to horses and incest. Roundhead Jonhsnon levels of expectation subverting.

lol at everyone who said the game wasn't rigged against Tay. Sam just confirmed Tay wasn't considered to win because she became unlikable. Reminder: All the boring shit that happened this season is because Sam and the Wiggers don't understand what makes the show work. They discourage making content on their show and then complain.
Sam: "Yadda yadda INITIATIVE"
Then they consistently screw over every fish showing actual initiative.
Was the "soyjak tax" implemented after people in this thread pointed out she was making fun of Sam&Jet?
Did they kick off tay before the boxing because skelly would've mogged the twinks?

This thread was funnier than the show itself and I look forward to not-watching fishtank s3 with you all.

I like how they didn’t let curses stack because they expected TJ and Shinji to play competitively. The first thing Shinji did was waste chips to spite Tay. This after Sam was annoyed by how easily TJ let his chips go. Two most retarded fish in Tank history.

Sam may have just bruised TJ’s tailbone. It looks like a rough landing.

Looks like he hurt Shinji's tailbone as well.
On a side note, if we count Summer that's three contestant asses destroyed by the end of the season. Almost 4 were it not for Doc's intervention :story:

Here's my autistic final gauntlet post mortem:

I think Sam was backing Shinji, and Jet was backing TJ. Sam liked Shinji because he was the funniest one left, down to inviting him to do comedy with him. Jet liked TJ because he invariably likes the dumbest choice.

Had the contestants been somewhat normal, and assuming there was no trickery or backstabbing, I think the obvious winner was Shinji via being the best at physical challenges, and the obvious 3rd place was TJ, because he's retarded. In addition, they knew that Shinji and TJ had teamed up. TJ had stated that he cared more about Tay losing than himself winning. This seemed to further cement a Shinji victory: if the third place contestant targets the second place contestant, the second place contestant has no shot at catching up to the frontrunner. I imagine that Sam was thinking this and was excited for the esl porn star to blow the other two out of the water, because it's funny. Jet probably didn't think about it at all, because he doesn't think about anything at all.

The game starts, and in addition to the challenges they add "NPCs" to make the game more interesting than a Shinji blowout: Hassle can hassle, but not to the point of forcing someone to lose. Fatty may or may not help you in exchange for whatever weird thing he asks for. Trish can give you a cryptic fortune telling, and can curse someone by making them lose two points, equivalent to the average challenge. If there was a logic, it went like this: Curses are the most expensive, and essentially guarantee a loss. Hassling is less expensive, but it's not a guarantee. Chris is free, but he's Chris. This way, each player can always use an NPC, and it also finally gives a purpose to the chips they've had all season.

The first day has two surprises for Production: TJ is somehow doing better than they expected and Shinji is so exhausted that he's doing worse than expected, and no one is using the NPCs. No big deal, Shinji will still probably win. Tay stole TJs chips during the night.

Second day comes around, and in theory Shinji is now fully rested and will win. Except he's still underperforming. Unbeknownst to production, Shinji, from what I gathered during his chat with TTS, thinks he can find out the standing at the end and pay all of his chips to curse whoever he needs to curse to win if he has enough. TJ is operating under the same assumption. Shinji won't use the free option because, unbeknownst to anyone at this point, he can not understand almost anything that comes out of Chris's mouth. Tay understood the rules, but hadn't used the NPCs until now because she had less chips than anyone else due to soy taxing. She attempted to use Hassle, but she used him on something that wasn't actually a challenge, and then the challenge he was active in gave the win to Shinji instead of her. With TJs chips, she decides to start cursing. Shinji begins to curse her back, because "she cursed him". It's unclear to me why he thought that, or if he was told. At some point Shinji and Tay both try to use the same NPC, and Trish believes that isn't allowed (I believe production meant that only for Chris and Hassle). Production finds out why Shinji isn't spending chips, and why TJ hadn't been, and explain.

After shinji targets Tay again, he's cooerced into getting info from the fortune teller, and is told that he shouldn't be targeting the person in last place, so he curses TJ instead. The next round, Shinji tries to get clarification on the word "cryptic," and Trish explains that it means not to trust it. Shinji now thinks that it was a trick and decides to divide his votes evenly. Also, if it actually is worthwhile to target Tay, it must mean he's near the bottom, so he assumes he can't win. He decides instead to conserve energy and focus on being more entertaining for the sake of his career after fishtank: for example, he gives reviews of the food instead of eating quickly and tries the sled ride a second time after it already injured him once just for fun.

As it drags on, production realizes that in order for the final challenge to matter, it has to be enough points for Shinji to win. But the final challenge is wrestling or boxing, both of which they assume he will win. They could rig it so that the points end up with Shinji only winning if he curses TJ, and making the vote public, so that he is forced to betray his friend and finally become "dark Shinji" to win, but if the lead is small enough for shinji to decide it, its also small enough for Tay to decide it. They ask how the chat feels about it and are informed that they don't like the idea (they actually did, but the staff is retarded) and Jet decides that it's not fair if Shinji can steal his favorite retard's victory. They ask Twitter for advice because they're afraid to piss off the audience (for the first time all season. Probably because they're strong believers in "recency bias", they think the only parts of the show that matter are clips and the final day).

It's unknown what advice if any they took from Twitter. At some point Fatty comes up and hunts at the betrayal to the two of them, which is when production discovered that Shinji has already told TJ about the backstabbing. They're fucked again, because they're forced to decide the victor. Either they make the boxing worth enough to push Shinji over, giving Shinji the win, or they make it worth enough to win in combination with a curse they know he's fine with doing, giving him the win, or they make it not worth enough at all, making it pointless and giving TJ the win after he gets the shit beat out of him. The last plan is what they claim to have went with, presumably because it would solve the complaint about TJ not deserving it the way Tay did for being fucked with. Shinji will get the golden scarab consolation prize, which has changed value enough that I don't think anyone remembers what it's worth.

The fight starts, and Shinji is expected to win. And he should have, since TJ is a retard with broken ribs. Shinji knows this, though, and does his best to avoid hitting his ribs because he doesn't want to murder his friend in cold blood. Shinji focuses on TJ's head, which is full of water instead of brain, so he can't actually do any damage. TJ is retarded, so he can't win in only a couple rounds. The rules are changed when neither fighter is making progress to extend until someone falls. Shinji is shocked to find out he's still fighting after 3 rounds. Shinji gets concussed. However, every time he starts to go down, TJ stops attacking because he doesn't want to murder his friend in cold blood. Eventually after Sam loses his patience and starts screaming at TJ to finish it, he finally does.

In the end, production was so outstandingly brain damaged that they accidentally rigged the game in favor of the retard, and accidently gave the person who would have won if production wasn't retarded brain damage.

It was probably the most Neptunian ending anyone could have asked for.

The producers fucked it up. Jet should have listened to himself.

Tally it all up and Jet/Other Production accounts are likely 20%+ of TTS. The excessive meddling is the core problem S2 had, besides general wigger incompetence. They need a plan for a Season. "You make plans and God laughs" does not mean you should not be making plans at all. Winging it like they do, taking the show day-by-day is not the worst approach. But they lack higher-order goals and awareness, they consistently focused on fucking with a single contestant to the point of burning them out. They had no awareness to lay off them for a day or two, switching their focus to give a Fish space to recover. They drove out a lot of good Fish and ended up with a final two who just coasted or couldn't act on their own.
Tay is what Production had cultivated, she was a perfect Fish towards the end. Played the game as it was presented to her, and yet that is not good enough for them. Jet said "Unfortunately Tay, you fell victim to the dogpile" to explain her loss. Nigger that's you, Tay was fighting against all other Fish, because production told the other fish to do that. Every freeloader was against Tay in the end. She had no Ally's and still outmaneuvered them all and made things happen that were interesting to watch as other Fish did nothing.

I endorsed Tay for the lack of a better option, I don't care what she does after this, but the way they handled her was bad. She is what they wanted her to be and they throw her out because of it.

I think the final contest was fair enough( as in not likely rigged ), Shinji could have won. I think TJ winning is easily the worst possible outcome of these final 3.

One last final meme because I found this funny. I woke up this morning and YouTube recommended another watch party that is apparently still going it seems like this person lazily just threw up a stream because a VOD he had showed that whenever the shill ads came up he would not click them off.C12C3D96-61C4-4AF6-A1CC-53A33D3D5330.png
