Russia's Putin derides 'Russophobia' in Europe at World War Two memorial

Russian President Vladimir Putin castigated Europe on Saturday for "Russophobia" and criticized the Baltic States over human rights at the unveiling of a World War Two memorial.

Since he sent Russian troops into Ukraine nearly two years ago, Putin has been making comparisons with the fight against the Nazis in order to rally his nation.

"The regime in Kyiv exalts Hitler's accomplices, the SS men ... In a number of European countries, Russophobia is promoted as state policy," Putin said in the Leningrad region for the 80th anniversary of the end of the Nazi siege.

The Germans' aims then were to steal the Soviet Union's resources and eliminate its people, he said.

Ukraine, which was part of the Soviet Union and itself suffered devastation at the hands of Hitler's forces, rejects comparisons as spurious pretexts for a war of conquest.

In his speech, Putin also lambasted the Baltic States over human rights. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - ruled from Moscow during the Cold War but now members of the European Union and NATO military alliance - have been among the strongest critics of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"In the Baltic states, tens of thousands of people are declared subhuman, deprived of their most basic rights, and subjected to persecution," Putin said, referring to migration crackdowns. Moscow has repeatedly accused the Baltic nations of xenophobia and treating Russian minorities as "second-class".

This makes them sound like americans.

On the whole this list still seems less tangible than how jews milk the holocaust, and more of a list why russians are white niggers (which they are). Nevertheless, I appreciate the writeup, thanks.

And it's pretty funny to think of rusky's venerating both Nicholas and Stalin.

Some of the sizes are symbolic. The height of the church along with the cross is 95 metres. The diameter of the drum of the main dome is 19.45 metres, symbolising the year when the Great Patriotic War ended – 1945. The height of the belfry is 75 metres, a reference to the 75 years that passed in 2020 since the end of World War II. The height of the small dome is 14.18 metres – open conflict between Nazi Germany and the USSR lasted 1,418 days and nights. The area of the church complex is 11,000 m2. The capacity of the interior of the church is up to 6,000 people.
The bells were made at the Voronezh Foundry. The decoration of the bells repeats ornaments decorating the cathedral. The bells reflect the theme of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, icons of patrons of the Russian Army. The main bell-evangelist was decorated with bas-reliefs depicting key events of the Great Patriotic War. Work on the manufacture of the bells was carried out for six months. The ensemble weighs more than 20 tonnes, which includes 18 bells, the largest of which weighs 10 tonnes. 17 of the 18 bells are dedicated to the types and arms of the troops. On one side a military emblem is applied to the bell, on the other, the image of the patron saint. In August 2019, the bells were installed in the belfry of the cathedral.
The floors of the cathedral are metal. The metal is from melted-down Nazi trophies, such as weapons and tanks that were seized from Wehrmacht forces. The act of walking on the floors of the cathedral is intended to symbolise "delivering a blow to the fascist enemy”.

The cathedral is said to contain Adolf Hitler's cap and personal clothes, which were described as trophies and religious relics by Russian Deputy Minister of Defense.
The Jews have the Holocaust Museum, and the Russians have a cathedral dedicated to their victory over Nazi Germany.

True fact.

There aren't many groups that I am actively flamingly racist against, but every Russian I've ever met is some variety of con artist, and not even in the Bernie Madoff way, more like the dude at the back of the bus running three-card monte.

"You buy used car, is very clean."

"My cousin, he sell you gold chain, is very nice."

"Krokodil, will make you very feel good, I get from reputable manufacturer, I give clean needle with every sale."
Every Russian I've met has been really nice. One even offered to buy me a gun. I said no because I didn't want to go to jail, but I was touched by the gesture.

No I don't date American men, sorry. Is that what's got your panties in a bunch, that American women reject fat burger men?

You can always get off the couch and exercise. But you won't.
This explains a lot really. It’s not your fault, you’ve just had your stupid opinions fucked into you like every other hole does.

Estonia has been pissed at Russia for seemingly helping migrants get to their border. They've got people from Yemen passing through Russia to their border, I'd imagine there's some Russians fleeing to those countries too and causing trouble the same as in Georgia where rent went up quite a bit thanks to all the refugees fleeing conscription. So ends up sounding similar to when the president of Mexico complains about Americans being unhappy about his citizens bringing fentanyl over the border.

Estonia denied citizenship to its Russian-speaking minority ever since it broke free of the Sovient Union back in 1991, so the issue is anything but new and originated decades before shit hit the fan in spring 2022.

The Estonians had legitimate reasons not to trust the russian minority, given that their presence was a colonial imposition of the Russian and Soviet empires. They were moved there in an effort to russify the region and suppress the native Estonian culture.

Estonia no doubt sees Russia bringing migrants to their border as more of the same shit.

Casual reminder that a designated AIDS-riddled nafotrannies and ukrosimps infested Ukraine-Russia conflict news megathread still exist. The one and only where this faggotry riddled "artic;le" alond with local nafofags and oinksimps have to reside for the safety of the whole A&N.

But no a street shittin deathfat pajeed OP keeps on delivering this shit outside of designated area.
Reasons for the spread of Russophobia remain a mystery.
Reasons are your inability to differ between Russians from oinkers, Belorussians from either and yet your rotting brains would keep to count all the bad shit on Russkies.

Such a dissapointment, although not unexpected one, truly.

EDIT: ah yes, nafofags and oinksimps already throwing tin cans. How predictable.
Say, when your beloved kykeland and lesser kykeland (oinkland (hoholistan (ukraine)))) will get hammered down and you'll start pretend you faggots were never on them side - internet remembers. This forum remembers. so you'll be called out if you'll try to backpedal or switch sides.
