I do think he stopped watching because it seems that now he just watches other streamers and youtubers with Keth. He still plays WWE Champions, tho, because he is too much of a addict to stop.

We all know Phil can stretch out a 5 minute story into a 20 minute one and that he likes to talk about same stuff that happened over 10 years ago

Once the trolls get too bored of him and move on he'll have something new to talk about in his prestream/podcast for the rest of his life

That's a great point. Phil and his ego get more out of detractor content than anyone else. If he stopped streaming he wouldn't be able to read about himself and watch videos about himself on his time off from talking about himself. It all feeds his massive insatiable style ego,

Maybe DSP is right. Infinite Wealth probably is based entirely off his life. I remember the part where Ichiban gets caught jacking it on stream and then proceeded to sit on his fat ass for a decade sucking at video games and refusing to improve himself because of the trolls, dood. I'm 99% sure he started saying he stopped watching wrestling well before we ever discovered Champions. IIRC, it was part of him trying to mature because people were making fun of him for being an adult in his 30's that enjoyed wrestling/admitting he didn't realize it was fake until much later in life. A better Philstorian can pull up actual videos where he first started saying it and compare it to when the Champions thread was created.

It's also such a funny defense in general because he says he stopped watching wrestling because of that...but he's also admitted to playing Champions fairly recently, just insisting that he barely spends anything on it. Soooo....apparently the champions conspiracy was so bad it ruined his ability to watch wrestling, but not his ability to play the game.

Dave's never been that big of a wrestling fan. He didn't watch most of the Attitude Era, unlike most guys around his age. He thought it was real up until that planned pahdcast with John Rambo.

It's understandable that he's no longer watching wrestling. WWE has been catered to kid trash for over a decade now.

To further my Infinite Wealth post, you can recruit “Sujimon” (think Pokémon but perverts) and battle them. And one way you can do this is through an in-game gacha machine. I think I have a feeling where he’ll slow his playthrough down at.
