I really hate to play the "they are the real X" card but the fact is that when it comes to economics the current establishment is far closer to Fascism than anything Trump ever did, and likely closer than even FDR at it's worse.
The only business making money are ones openly or covertly in bed with the Fed and playing ball with the regime. We have a de facto corporatist meme going on and it isn't even funny. Remember how Biden snubbed the biggest electric car manufacturer in the US and World because the Elon wasn't playing along and had the audacity to hijack twitter? Classic example.
The fears of the Economist are not to do with the economy, but with Our Economy. Much like the journalists and progressives aren't worried about the democratic system as much as they are worried about Our Democracy.

They were writing blackpilled headlines like this just before the midterms. I smell a rat.
They could just be trying to spook and motivate their voter base, or lull conservative voters into complacency. "Appear weak when you are strong", and all that.
I do know that, unlike cuckservatives, shitlibs don't start waving the white flag at the first sign of trouble. Their hubris forbids it.

Who would they even replace him with? Its not like there's many other people used to commanding a national defense. Wonder if they think he was actually botching the war, or just got angry he wouldn't let them grift as much of the money away, or wouldn't blitz more conscripts against prepared russian positions.

Trump isn't winning. If I'm wrong I'll use his Spitting Image puppet as my avatar for the first year of his presidency.
But I almost want him to win so I can watch the meltdown. It could be the Terminator 2 to the original shit fits.

I think he's got good chances, considering how badly Biden's fumbled his first term. But polls this far out are completely garbage for anything beyond 'current event sentiment'. I think it was Gehanna who pointed out that the non-diehards flip their opinions constantly and only really actually figure out who they might vote for right near the voting day itself. If you're not already terminally online, its doubtful you even care about the election at all yet.

Big deal on the Texas border wall situation. A Texas dude is appearing to show massive gaps in the wall with no razor wire guards or protection and alleging the whole Texas postering against Biden is a fake dog and pony show.
I bet you money this act is to give him more legitimacy when he turns around and endorses Biden or whoever is the dem candidate.

Maybe I misunderstood but the standoff was over the hole in the specific park that they were filling, and now that they're "clear" they're trying to expand the program to cover more holes. I didn't hear anything about Texas having already plugged every single one. There's hundreds of the damned things after all.

This is not the first time I've seen the claim that if Trump wins and ends the Ukraine situation then Western civilization is dead. Which is hilarious because the people who want the Ukraine war so badly are the same people who hate and denigrate Western culture and want it replaced with endless brown slaves.
