Well, boomers *are* the demographic most likely to vote, and have spent decades prostrate before the Golden Calf of Zionism.
It'll probably be drone/jet/cruise missile strikes on Houthi positions. I don't think boots on the ground (except maybe SOF) is in the cards yet.

The truth is never as bad as you think it'll be or as good as you hope it'll be. The truth of what is going to happen will always be somewhere in the middle. Given how this administration has operated with things like this, I wouldn't be surprised if at most a bunch of Iranian military depots in Syria and Iraq get hit with bombs. However, seeing all these Senate hawks on Twitter gives me some pause, since neocons have been sharpening their claws at Iran for decades. However, all we really can do is sit tight and watch what happens.
These types of attacks have been going on since late last year, only this is a notable escalation because of some troops being killed.

If its against the Houthi's, then its probably going to be a big old jerkoff about putting some boots down, blowing an arms cache, and calling it mission accomplished. If they actually committed to removing the Houthi's they'd be committing to liberating the Capital of Yemen, and that is not a 'minor' military action, that's a big shitshow however you try to cut it.
Whatever they do though, is going to fuck global trade even worse. The ship attacks have been bad enough, but nobody is gonna want to deal with getting near an open conflict with an Iranian Proxy. Its not gonna get quieter when the Americans roll in.

I don't think we'll go so far as to declare war on Iran instead of a bunch of fruitless proxy battles, though.

They get reelected when they didn't start it, but seem to be winning it. Biden fucked up repeatedly in the middle east in the process of getting out of there, and even the idea of going back in has gotta be toxic for most voters on all sides, much less going in like this. People are extremely suspicious of the motivations of the military these days, nobody would buy that you need any major force deployment into the region as retaliation for three dudes in a base that shouldn't even exist getting got. Their ignorance is actually a weakness to Biden in this case as they probably won't understand why you can't just bomb and drone strike them into oblivion.

Actually it's much worse, retaliation-wise: if Trump gets elected, the DNC don't need to conjure up another pandemic. They can just say "fuck it" and let the economy crash via removing the duct tape holding the economy up since 2008 and order the ceasing of spam casting revive/cure/heal spells and trigger Great Depression 2.0
Especially since triggering Great Depression 2.0 means they can market Newsome as FDR 2.0 and finally pass their Green New Deal as the only allowed way to stop the suffering the DNC instituted economic Gotterdammerung causes.
