The chances of me seeing her face in a game is a violation of my human rights and I'm tired of pretending it's not. Don't mind voice but my god I can't help but laugh in the "serious" moments when the character looks like this
There are instances of her looking normal, so I don't understand why she needs to look like a racial caricature that even the KKK would say is too much.

Say what you will about the current state of Marvel, but even they wouldn't go as far as WB has apparently done with this game. Just sickening.

I don't agree, personally. These games are always touted as having humongous budgets. AAA studios cream their pants over "hyperrealistic" worlds, environments, animations. Gameplay is ripped off from a hundred other lookalikes, QA is non-existent, storyline stomps over everything sensible with shallow depth and I can't believe the DIE hack writers nowadays charge too much (if they could piss on everything good and noble for a dollar they'd do it IMO, and of course rag on "those at the top" when times become tough).
But the art? Art departments drown in money. I come from a place of ignorance, granted, but I can't buy until proven that they sink more money into gameplay and technical stuff as much as the pixels on Harley's buttcheeks.
I just think they made her ugly on purpose.

Watching on youtube, at the Batman section: It's already bad enough that Batman ends up a brainwashed villain who murdered his own son after battling with basically the same situation throughout Arkham Knight, but how does Harley beat him? Gassing him with fear toxin. The same shit he was fighting in Arkham Knight and has made a main part of his new arsenal, but he's defenceless against it because Harley made her own brand of fear toxin after interrogating Scarecrow.
You know what makes the Batman disrespect even more blatant? The fact that every hero's demise is treated like joke, every moment is scared of having weight... Except Wonder Woman. Her death gets a shit ton of reverence and serious treatment with the morally bankrupt and constantly cowardly fuckwits suddenly deciding to try and save her, with Harley seriously mourning her. The protagonist of the franchise is treated like shit while a character whose version in this universe only appeared in this game, and had little screentime, is treated like a fucking icon.

Yeah I can’t blame her for that, and if people are willing to hire her, go get that money I suppose. It also helps that, to my knowledge, she’s never gone on rants about how men need to suck it up and accept stronk BIPOC women in games, she just does her job and goes home. She’s probably one of the few MadTV cast members to have a semi-decent career after the show, and long with Jordan Peele and Bobby Lee. I just don’t get why they exaggerate her eyes on EVERY character model though, they aren’t that extreme irl…
Edit: about Harley making a counter-Toxin to Batman/Scarecrows… first off, no, she’s not smart enough for that. Bitch literally got her good grades in college by sucking dick, there’s no way in hell that if she even HAS a biochemistry degree that she knows more than the bare minimum about it. Second, she says she learned all she needed to know by listening to Scarecrow blather on for years, but even IF you knew the exact chemical makeup of HIS fear toxin, there’s zero chance Batman hasn’t tinkered with it and changed the potency and desired effects, so any info about the old toxin is pretty useless.

Its a triple whammy of
1. She is a decent VA so no problems hiring her for a role.
2. Black Women, so the ESG points are off the charts.
3. No other way to say it she is kind of weird ugly so not threat to the women in management/HR AND it pisses white male gamers off (in their minds).
People wouldn't have half the problems with her if she wasn't THE ONLY women the modeler could actually map one to one. Super model you get to model a character? Better make her ugly. Debra? Yeah, no touch ups required.

They are more so trying to capitalize on Injustice. That game fundamentally ruined DC for about a decade as everyone tries their hand at evil Superman/Justice League now. One cannot escape Injustice’s consequences.
The DCEU tried to do its Injustice with BVS, where they had the evil Superman kill Batman. The CW had the evil Superman plot throughout Superman & Lois, along with doing evil versions of characters like the Flash in Elseworlds. Even the comics are trying to bring Injustice Superman in to bitch slap his gay son. Bizarrely, only the very specifically made for children tv and games seem to avoid this plotline and are arguably better for it.
This game is the evil Superman trope a decade too late. Injustice hasn’t been relevant since 2017 and products like Invincible and The Boys have beaten this trend to death.

even though I would definitely not call her a looker, in every game she is in they go in HARD on the bug eyes. It's a conscious effort to hit her with the ugly stick.

I love how every boss fight with the Justice League just ends with them dropping like a GTA ragdoll dead on the floor. I was hoping for something even a little creative like making flash accidentally run into a pointy statue in a post fight cutscene or something but nope, shooty bang bang drop dead.

Same. It wasn't like I was lusting after Debra Wilson when she was on MadTV, but I never started thinking "Damn, this bitch ugly." until I started seeing her pop up in video games all the time.
And it has everything to do with her eyes. It's like they're desperate to make her look like this woman, who would have been a better fit for Waller might I add.

I would’ve loved some unique kills for the League:
Shoot Flash with a gas that slows his reaction time and then lure him into traps he can’t see and avoid fast enough
Overload Lantern’s concentration with a sound and visual bukkake so he can’t focus enough to use his ring
Trap Superman in Mirror Master’s mirror dimension
Hit batman with a big rock (like, a REALLY big rock!)
But instead we get “Hold down the fire button til you deplete the enemies life bar!”…
