Rocksteady teases Suicide Squad game

I’m watching Maulers livestream right now and this UI is such shit, even for a GAAS.

And King Shark sounds just as much of an annoying faggot as any other modern day character, talking about journalism being important felt like pure copium about the game industry’s fellow pozzed creatives.

Agreed. Outside of MMOs, there's zero reason why a game needs to be purely online especially if it is a single-player only game. Only a retarded managerial type would think of something always being online unnecessarily as a plus. The reddit and woke shit are just the pus frosting on top of the shit cake of bad gameplay, bad mechanics and just bad business practices.

The DCEU tried to do its Injustice with BVS, where they had the evil Superman kill Batman. Even the comics are trying to bring Injustice Superman in to bitch slap his gay son. Bizarrely, only the very specifically made for children tv and games seem to avoid this plotline and are arguably better for it.

This game is the evil Superman trope a decade too late. Injustice hasn’t been relevant since 2017 and products like Invincible and The Boys have beaten this trend to death.

That’s a good point, and that makes this game all the more laughable because it makes Injustice’s storyline feel like brilliant writing. Injustice needed that story to justify a fighting game plot of every character beating each other up. And the Injustice Superman had a good heelturn, Joker deserved death. This game we just have the laziest justification with Braniac brainwashing.

I hate to have a similarity with Moviebob but feels like it’s gonna be James Gunn who bails DC out. Guy gets how to use these characters in fun & surprising ways. I don’t think he’ll just do Bad Superman he already kinda had his version with Brightburn.

BTW if you want to enjoy Kevin Conroy in this type of story done right watched the movie “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.” It’s the heroes overcoming their mirrored alternates done right. Suicide Squad doesn’t get that you still need good guys to stand in contrast to corrupted heroes. Even Garth Ennis at his worst knows this. The Boys is all evil Superheroes yet you still have Starlight. And all of this is so ugly that they tied this to the Arkham Universe. Arkham was just a giant fanboy love letter to BTAS.

I’m going full autist and beating a dead horse but once again Warner Bros squandered the opportunity to readapt Batman Beyond. They snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Batman Beyond was amazing and totally deserved an Arkham title. Imagine wasting Kevin-fucking-Conroy's last performance on the fucking Suicide Squad, DC's dumping ground for shit ideas.

I know it will never happen and I wouldn't want Rocksteady to do it, but a sequel to this game about Jason Todd killing the Suicide Squad out of revenge could have potential.

Todd wakes up in an abandoned warehouse and has to find out why he's there while he slowly figures out what happened to all his friends and family. Wandering around Gotham he eventually pieces it together that they're all dead and vows to take the culprits out as violently as possible.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Red Hood is a planned DLC character, he fits the anti-hero moniker, is name dropped in the game and his weapon of choice is dual pistols. They could even have an interesting dynamic between him and Harley working together, considering she used to get fingerblasted by the man who tortured him in Arkham Asylum. Unfortunately, they’d find a way to absolve her of all responsibility….

Maybe I’m not well versed in modern WW lore, but wasn’t she sculpted from clay by her mother and imbued with life? Did the magic give her damageable human-like organs? Hell, I remember in one comic, might have been Kingdom Come, she gets blasted by a laser and starts to revert to clay so Superman flies her back to Paradise Island to heal. Obviously no one was in a position to fly her back home in this game but they didn’t even try to come up with a way to help!

Rocksteady needs to go under and let this be the game failure to bitchslap WB into getting its shit in order.

The part where they have Harley mock her old Arkham Knight outfit really is the worst gen z/tumblir writing I've seen in awhile. It's so anti sexuality out of nowhere because "male gaze bad." Nevermind Harley has flat out admitted in the past she likes feeling attractive/sexual. The gen z writer can't even be assed to not self insert for half a second.

The Batman death is really infuriating. As others have said, this could have been an excellent Beyond game with old Bruce dying at the end to save Terry. If done right that BTAS inspired thank you at the end could have been immensely touching. It'll never happen now. As a big Arkham, BTAS, and general Batman enthusiast, this is how it ends.

So I haven't digged into all the cutscenes and all, but isn't the story in this game a tad too similar to Injustice 2? The only difference(s) seems to be that A) in that game, villains here, like Harley Quinn work side by side with Batman and B) you're not supposed to flat out kill the Justice League.
