EDIT: Oh I see, BTAS Batman will be in Crisis part 3. That's an interesting choice.

If that turns out to be the swan song for the DCAU justice league saving the day I would be extremely happy. Keeping expectations low but I hope they went big.

For what it's worth, it looks at least decent so far. I'm not a big fan of the animation style, but from the clips I've seen, it's a helluva lot better than this shit.

There’s these management types up top who truly are fooled into believing that these wokescolds on Twitter and elsewhere know the pile of the industry. They think they have to placate them. And I’m guessing even if it isn’t the management you just have employees who say LGBT crap should be in the game because it just should damnit. Imagine being the level designer and they tell you to put that Rainbow flag in. Are you gonna argue and potentially get called a Chud? This shit just gets bullied in even if it just doesn’t serve any purpose.

Games used to be made by small studios. A small team pitched a concept, it got approved, they’d work on it for few years. Of course they’d also get focus tests to see how their target demographics think of the game. It seems like now they’re seeming scared to death of letting some teenagers play a game in development because maybe one kid might leak the $300 million dollar game. Why they really care when people post fake rumors all the time I’ll never know. So now use game consultants and the game consultants are fucking retards who all want Borderlands and constant quips and every AAAslop feels akin to the next one. Just looked at the Wikipedia article and seriously who knows how much insight Geoff Johns had in the game but still it kinda indicates how the originality was sucked out:

Makes me think the original vision was closer to a conventional single player game and as the name implies your Suicide Squad would lose characters as the story progressed. As soon as they decided it needed 4 player co-op that was gone.

Going to be a bit autistic here, but...

I think this is honestly a viewpoint most of us here share. I mean, darker stories can certainly be fun, but having something be pointlessly mean-spirited and depressing for the sake of edginess and woke points is not the way to go.

As stated here previously, a lot of this shit seems to stem from the obsession with "deconstructionism"/hedonism that so much of the woke world is obsessed with these days. I mean; hot take, deconstructions can be interesting if done well, but in the hands of these woketards, it's less "examine components of the story and show consequences" and more make everything sad and depressing, no happiness allowed!!!1!"

This event fundamentally shook America and the proceeding war afterwards killed any illusion of good people at the top. Add in the now multiple once-in-a-lifetime recessions, a more isolated and politically divided society, and it isn’t hard to see why everyone is so sour.

As for media, these are just bad writers parroting deconstructions from the 80s-90s be it Moore or Miller. It helps that Injustice, The Boys, and Invincible have all gotten popular off of superheroes killing people in violent ways. Normies eat it up as it makes these characters “mature” and “not boring”.

They wanted to write their own things with their own characters. Which I can understand, however, why the fuck would you work for a company that mostly makes games about Batman? This is evident with Harley's; "It's our turn now." spiel. Look, if you want to do your own thing that is fine. Lot of indie devs are able to make the games they want on their time and budget.
