and while googling for this pic i stumbled upon another reddit link - apparently redditors posting about their desire for huge quantities of soy milk is a common occurence

Not entirely accurate. The majority of Tumblr refugees went to twitter bringing their social justice bullshit with them not reddit. Reddit's format and association with neckbeards kept most of them out.
