You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

The fact my local library has become another hangout spot for the homeless, loitering there all day until they can return to the shelters. Most of them come up from that vile shithole Boston and its surrounding shithole suburbs. Massachusetts just fobs off its detritus on New Hampshire, as if we don't have enough goddamn bums of our own to deal with already.
It fucking pisses me off when the beggars demand and beg for money. I work hard and suffer a shitty job for my money, why the fuck does society demand I give it to them? It fucks me up. One time a bunch of people were passing this asshole begging for money. I was the last one to pass this guy without giving him money. Suddenly everybody became angry at me and started apologizing while giving him money. It really fucks me up.

When your boomer parents passive aggressively judge you for never having learned how to play a musical instrument and never got interested in a sport. Never cared much about that stuff as a kid and I sure as hell cant care much as an adult because I got two jobs. Its not 50-40 years ago when you could pay a house on a minimun wage and have a lot of free time. The little free time I get I hang out with friends and rest my ass.

There is nothing worse than them seeing some jackass on social media play an instrument and thus begins the comparisons.

Edit: its just a poison for your self worth, you know?

Just ask if they really wanted a homosexual for a child, and if they question you ask why they are homophobic.

This is a dumb one, but a guy I play games with badgers me every fucking few hours for the past few days to play Call of Duty with him because he didn't want to play it at all for the past two months and now is in a rush to finish his battlepass or whatever.

We're in our fucking 30's for Christs sake and he's wanting to pull all nighters in the middle of the week to finish some stupid fucking battlepass shit.

One of my coworkers was already pissing me off just for work performance reasons, and then out of the blue he starts yapping about how he really wanted to breed his husky with a coworker's akita, but his husky got a bad infection or something and is now infertile, so he's going to give it away so that he can get one to breed. He lives in an apartment complex with no yards. He has 0 dog breeding experience. He lacks all responsibility in his easy little job, so I have no clue how he thinks he'd raise fucking akita/husky puppies as a backyard breeder WITHOUT even a backyard. Two of the MOST demanding breeds.

At first I was able to do the whole "He's a shitty worker but I can't hate him personally for that, people are more than their jobs," but holy shit, his whole spiel about these dogs got me so mad I left the room and I have no sympathy for him in any capacity.

Why do parents hold their own life as emotional baggage? Example: I was at a party, the grandma made a snide comment that it would be her last birthday. Fucking seriously?

When a host is so painfully unfunny that it drags down the humor from and for everyone else, be they guests or audience members.

Steve Harvey contributing almost nothing but awkward pauses, "you crazy" and clumsily describing famous Jackass stunts isn't funny, and all he did was stifle the comedic quality of the Jackass crew so fucking hard that they had no chance. I didn't want to continue after that terrible guest introduction. Jokes making fun of Steve Harvey are infinitely more funny than he is.
stop sending steve harvey this shit.jpg

His clearly staged overreactions to answers from Family Feud are almost always more cringe than they are funny. Especially when the leap in logic is more like a small step.

"Name a part of your bod you'd like touched."
"Penis!"
"The penis?! What the hell is wrong with you, saying something like that?!"

Cue penis being on the board as Steve stumbles around the stage in totally genuine shock at such an obvious answer to such a question.

The stupid, solipsistic fucks won't even answer questions about how to find/do something in a game, because they'd rather tell you to go find/do their preferred thing in stead.
Why do people take the time to answer threads if they aren't going to answer the question the thread is about? What is the name of this kind of superiority complex? I once washed my travel card left in my pocket, so I googled to see if anyone knew whether my city's cards could survive that. I found lots of threads asking that question, and full of answers like, "Is it so hard to just go try it yourself?" (yes, some of the areas serviced are relatively remote and you have an option once an hour) or "Check your pockets better next time." Just don't waste your time answering the thread if that's all you're going to say! Better to call them a name and actually answer the question, "Yes, you stupid faggot, it will work."

I don't care if it's been mentioned before, it deserves infinite mentions: flying/the airport/the TSA.

Flying is both great and cursed. Fast, reliable, decently safe travel method that goes basically everywhere. What's the problem, then? Fucking people on airplanes. One or two complaints related to actually being in the plane are valid. The rest make me hope these fuckers die in a car fire getting home.

Airport food fucking sucks and is priced such that even the Jewiest of Jews would wonder what was up with whomever made these decisions. People who suddenly forget how to read, count, or listen when it comes time to board the plane.

The TSA. Fuck the government. These are definitely the kind of people to say, "I was just doing my job!" when shit kicks off and history repeats itself in America. I sincerely hope that saves none of them and they're still tarred/feathered/lit on fire/hanged/all that and their families too.

I haven't gone to my local library in years because it has the same problem. If you dare question it, then you're an evil heartless Nazi. Also, my local library has been in an ongoing process of removing "problematic" books whilst also complaining about censorship. Yeah...

The continual decline of the Internet pisses me off. It makes me sad too. I wish power could be wrested from the Big Tech companies. I miss the old Internet.

Extra Thread Tax:

I'll never not be pissed about wokeness. It permeates too many institutions these days. I don't want it to be the "new normal." But I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. I also have nothing else new to say about it. It still feels good to say I hate it though.

Real. I mentioned this in another thread but I can't remember the last time I've seen a homeless white or black man begging on the street. Sure I've seen some homeless dudes, and seen some Good Samaritans go hand them a McDouble or whatever without them asking, but they never have signs and don't heckle people.

The last several instances of me seeing people beg with signs were Hispanic women. They always had kids with them and didn't have dirty clothing. I've twice seen the same woman begging on a roadside with two young boys curled up in a folding chair under a tree. This was during school hours on a school day, in the heat. I briefly considered phoning the 12 for the kids' sake. I also saw this in parking lot near several fast food establishments; I had swung by a Wendy's for a diet soda before a long drive and by the time I was leaving a cop had pulled over to talk to the lone woman.

Once, I was approached by an ESL Hispanic lady in a big box grocery store when I was trying to buy a few grocery items. She of course was trying to get me to buy her food. She curiously didn't have a grocery cart with her. I had a small cart, and when I turned a corner, almost bumped into her. I apologized for this accident and she wouldn't leave, just kept staring at me before commencing begging. I panicked but essentially ran. When I told my coworkers about this they said she probably picked me as a target for begging because A. female B. white C. not of the druggie trailer park phenotype. Predatory behavior. Like why are you begging an obviously college age individual for money? We're not known for having much to spare.

One argument against the death penalty that pisses me off is the idea of letting the criminal "think about what they did." Seriously? If they do think about what they did, I'm sure they could care less about their victims and wish they hadn't got caught. There's no justice in showing such leniency and compassion to literal human garbage. I don't think so.
