Anyways, for body fat estimations I'd recommend the US Navy Method over BMI's estimation, since BMI just counts height and weight, while the USN uses age, height, neck and waist measurements. The weight one on that calculator is just for lean mass estimation. Get yourself some measuring tape and calipers too and just accept that no body fat measurement is perfect, but good enough is good enough.

I really want to beat the point to death that all of these feminists that a large chunk of this forum think are "based" are literally just the same SJWs from 2014 that everyone was mocking back then. For the autists in the cheap seats, even if BMI isn't perfect, if it says you're obese and you're not a body builder, that is a red flag and you need to at least start looking at better metrics, which will also tell you that you're a fatty, just in more precise terms. The body fat percentage is likely wrong, but you shouldn't care about that until you're no longer obese. My family tends towards being broad shoulder and kinda narrow waisted, so when I bitch about it, I'm just griping over it being a few points off at worst. I deal with the BF% differences by keeping weekly measurements and caliper reads. $15 on amazon well spent, and it has benefit of helping me figure out sizing for clothes.

You’d have to have pro bodybuilder-levels of muscle mass juicing on that juice to ever be mistaken as fat via BMI. 99%+ of people who are listed as overweight or obese through BMI are that way because they’re fat. Most people are so used to seeing fat people that they have no idea what normal vs. overweight vs. obese is. If you got the spare cash, hydrostatic weighing is worth it to do every now and then.
TERFs aren’t our friends and most of them make it clear that camaraderie only goes one way. TERFs still believe all gender is social, that they don’t have enough privileges, and that problems can be solved with more leftism.
