If the CA Dems didn't like it, they could run their own candidates, but they'd rather get Soros' money than have a functional state. Newsom cannot possibly be unaware that the municipal government has made it de facto legal to steal amounts under $900. What he probably assumed is that the only thefts would be the occasional poor, suffering, oppressed, starving person grabbing a morsel of bread, or perhaps a cup of gruel. The idea that if you told all the niggers in the state that they can walk into any store, fill a shopping bag, and just leave that they would actually do that never crossed their heads. When told this was happening, they dismissed this as racists exaggerating.
