I knew a girl who had her first child at 12.
We were the same age, same birthday even, and she had three children by her 17th birthday.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying, I don't think you can get pregnant without sex, but I do think you can get pregnant from sex when you didn't want to. Hence "unwanted".
I do not think that excuses the cavalier way pro choice people treat unwanted pregnancy as not a case of a person being irresponsible, but as a completely unforeseeable thing that just somehow happened to them like the weather....

I agree he should've been locked up, but this was the mid 70s, so people just blamed the girl. And her mother was a devout Catholic, so abortion was out.
She eventually met a decent guy of the appropriate age, who joined the Air Force and married her. She's still married to him and living a good life, the last I heard. Haven't seen her in 20 years.

My dad's first cousin got pregnant at 13 by a guy in his late 20s. Canada did not have legal abortion at that time so she had to give birth to it. The OB said he could not allow her to give birth vaginally because her pelvis was underdeveloped and she would likely die in childbirth. He gave her a c-section and luckily she survived.
Her parents raised the baby telling him she was his sister and it really messed him up to find out who he thought was his big sister was his biological mom. It messed her up too, giving birth that young. The father of the baby did not stick around and she did not get married and have more kids til her 30s.
Same for my dad's cousin.
