I have a somewhat different theory. I don't think the Jade thing especially affected him. Not because he doesn't care about Jade but because he cares so little about Ralph's opinion and views him with such disgust and pity that it would be impossible for such a pathetic creature like Ralph to strike any blow.

Jim very rarely gets truly at the end of his patience until the thing he's confronted by is so undeniably awful that there is no redemption. He had energy in this stream closer to the Zoosadist and Bathrub era or Sargon Era.

Ralph as an internet personality is unbelievably funny. Ralph as an actual person is disturbing and awful in every way imaginable. Prior to the leaks there was still some doubt on if he was a physical abuser, and prior to the pillstreams from the divorce Ralph never fully admitting raping Alice. I think that puts Jim in a situation that no one cow has ever put him in - discussing him because others want him to. Jim finds it funny but Ralph absolutely thrives on the attention. Ralph started going after her on the Boulder Stream like 2 years ago.
