I do miss that Shinji had some sympathy for her before, it's not like the fish didn't know she was leaving due to her having mentals and all the fish showed a lot of sympathy for that. I don't remember the conversation word-for-word but Greg said if he was going to stay the entire show he wanted a minimum of 10K and Sam said okay or made it sound like that was okay. Maybe Sam didn't explicitly promise it, but that still doesn't make it right, when it was clear that's what Greg wanted.

They avoided talking in concrete terms for money but I remember Greg throwing 10k as his minimum the first time and then later either saying 5k or agreeing to something like 5k, which might be taking his flight/hotel stay into account which is why he ended up with 4k.

I remember in one of the out-in-the-open conversations Sam and Jet had in the Dog House, Sam was seriously talking about how much of a social media boost Greg was getting from this show while they were discussing his payment. Vance was there filming it but I don't think it'll make it to the edit, it wasn't a bit. He wasn't saying he wouldn't give Greg any money, but it felt like something one step down from paying an artist with "exposure." I bet Sam thinks 4k + MDE fan "clout" is more than enough.

As far as the Greg pay thing goes. I think it’s clear they weren’t making as much money this season. At least clear to those that bothered to watch live. Greg was payed less because they made substantially less. Though I do expect them to lie.

I see a trend of clip watchers voting this season as a mega slam dunk. But the TTS cost would plummet and people weren’t paying. They didn’t have a Josie this season. There wasnt a pay pig sponge being donated six $800 plushies an hour.

Greg was contracted for $1000 initially to do the Mr Beast bit, the rest of his work was $3000. I don't really think this is a bad payout for him for 10 days work, the expectations upon him were nowhere near the same as someone like Danye who immediately launched himself into the triathlon and successive awful situations like The Cell or the grit famine, maintaining a high level of activity through the whole period until they locked him up and that is when he was effectively neutered as a freeloader. Greg didn't really open up and participate until the last few days, excepting when they got him shitface drunk. Most of his early interactions basically involved the fish forcing him to react.

I think $4000 is good payout for him, he was nowhere near as active as Fatty, Frank, Danye or Oliver as a freeloader.
