The best evidence that he isn’t really that much of a threat to others like he is to himself is when he threw that chair down in front of that guy kicking him out of a restaurant and kept trying to get the other person to punch first, seemingly to try and claim self defense later. Said employee was not dumb enough to just start beating a retard and had nothing happened to him, despite Dan’s impotent screams about how he was going to kill him, before smacking himself in the head over and over. Maybe after some more self-inflicted CTE he’ll become more violent to others, but for now he doesn’t really try to do anything physical to people unless they’ve done something themselves to him first (I.e. spilling shit on him, messing with his stuff, etc.) He is retarded, but he seems to have a baseline understanding of “if I punch first I’ll get in trouble”.

It's always either harshly confining them to what amount to torture chambers while drugging them to be zombies, or full on enabling them in their bad habits and forcing the rest of us to deal with them with kid gloves or go to jail. How about a good ole free market solution where you let them overdose, get hit by cars, or shot by people they're trying to rob? That sounds like a good solution to me. The ones who are capable of lifting themselves out will, and the ones who aren't will get themselves killed sooner or later.

Fugitive from justice, huh? I'm really surprised that comes with a bond, surety or not.

However being a surety bond means he'd have to either come up with the full 20k or have someone put up a house or some shit. In short he ain't getting out.

He'll be violated off paper and serve a term. Maximum 1 year. Most likely He'll get from 90 to 180 days. Prolly closer to 90.

So.. that's the last we've heard from Danny boy until April. Best thing that could've possibly happened to him.

He was never going to comply with probation and it would have been continually extended ad nauseum and he'd be stuck in the belly of the system of the beast.

Now he gets to sit down for a minute, eat spreads, continue to stink until the other inmates violently force him into showering, and come out with a fresh start sans paper tail.

Good for you Danny. Sit that time out like a man and come out free without the man breathing down your neck with his hand in your pocket.

Whilst there is some limited value to implementing this type of policy aimed at harm reduction, when all is said and done what benefit is gained (like others have pointed out reduced rate of AIDS transmission) is outweighed by off-setting costs to other resources. Giving people a free pass to use drugs inevitably has an unpleasant side-effect in prioritising the well-being of people who will likely never meaningfully contribute over the average citizen. When the smackhead's right to be high overtakes the sober workers right to shit-free streets devoid of literal zombies, common folk are quick to lose empathy and patience for the situation.

Moreover serious drug addicts with poly substance misuse, are taking things like heroin adulterated with Nitazenes or Xyalzine, or falsified Alprazolam/Xanax concocted out of any number of untested research
-chemical benzodiazapene drugs. No matter how much help and support you offer someone who is consuming such low-quality and dangerously cut drugs, the fact they are taking such impossibly harmful substances robs almost any meaning from your attempts at helping. When drugs are so toxic, overpoweringly strong and of such low quality, actually locking people up and taking them off the streets can offer a chance for their bodies and minds to recover. Ofcourse prisons are rife with drugs, but for a few days more often than not, inmates are forced to sober up and take a break. Without that, there is no break to the downward spiral, people are just left, and enabled into freefall.

A life lived under the thumb of a severe drug addiction that has you living between the emergency ward and a tent on the street, is hard on the body and the mind. You're homeless, physically dependant on poison, surrounded by people waiting for you to slip up so they can do you in and steal your shit, and very likely covered in sores and wounds that wont heal. The emotional toll of existing that way robs people of their soul, and its not hard to see why people often like to say that circumstances like a heroin addiction take away a persons humanity and renders them lower than animals. It's miserable, and personally I don't believe that this benefits anyone other than people of a certain political stance's sense of conscience, idealism and ego.

The stigma of addiction may have at one time been overkill and more harm than good, but in do-gooding away the shame and social consequences of pursuing a life of heavy drug use, all thats left are adult children robbed of agency because now drug-use is something that 'happens to you', and isnt seen as a personal choice anymore. To the bleeding heart, its excusable, and to an addict in the throes of addiction, an excuse is almost always adopted as an ineffable reason to live and behave the way they do.

It's sad to me that its ended up this way for Daniel, but as has been pointed out, this is just what happens. I don't believe that any court ordered intervention will make any meaningful difference to his life, or the safety of the public, outside of outright prison time. Regardless, there seems to be a sense of dedication to a-logging Daniel, such without prison safeguarding teams and the like being interested and competent at managing his wellbeing/welfare during his stay in custody, that these 'events' of sorts he finds himself in and creates won't really come to an end.
Maybe his self-harm will get him some kind of assessment if he is persistsnt, maybe he will get some psychiatric intervention in the form of medication, but then, thats most likely going to be based on the court recognising him for what Daniel truly is. Craaaayyyyyyyyz. otherwise I don't believe any custody officer will like him enough to push on, advocate on his behalf and try to help him meaningfully, especially when he is immediately resistant to anything that contravenes his many, many delusions. In a perfect world someone other than a beat-officer would have 5 minutes and the common sense to investigate just what on earth is going on in Daniels world, disconnect him from the internet and cloister him with the rest of the unmentionable freaks. I don't see that happening until one of these unhinged weens goes so out of their way to harm daniel he has to have his name changed and is moved by witness protection to some secret tard camp.

When I first started reading about him I thought for sure some kind of psychotic disorder due to his celebrity "girlfriends" and whatnot. But then I read he was diagnosed with a developmental disorder and bipolar while in care as a child. It would be interesting if he sees a good psychiatrist and gets a diagnosis. The hitting himself and screeching thing is very SPEDy.

Genomic science is missing out that he's never been tested. The other genetic syndrome someone posted in this thread is probably more likely because the nose looks distinctive and his skin is pretty clear without many age spots and wrinkles like you would expect in progeria. It's his fucking weird features (sunken eyes, recessed chin, disproportionate nose), weathering and general shit lifestyle that makes him look older imo.

He without a doubt has the tendencies for it. There's a video of him being confronted for recording a random child at an event (a concert iirc?), and people made him delete the video he took, but they were not privy to having the trash removed from the phone either. He very well could have recovered it.
