The money is not, I repeat, NOT going to Josh. It's going to an IOLTA, which is an account held and maintained by his lawyer. Josh can direct the usage of these funds, but it's not something you can just make a withdrawal from to go buy exotic cheeses.

That said, I've been lurking for several years now, and one tradition I've seen is members buying True & Honest for other members they consider worthy. Well, in my opinion, if you make a major contribution to the litigation fund, helping it blow well past its original goal, you are worthy. I had a retarded idea, and got Null's permission to act on it.

The spirit is here, but when you donated through the wallets on the bottom of the site it didn't need to be 1000$. It just had to be something. I think the bar should be lowered to maybe like 10$ ( i donated 5$ so I don't even qualify ) so that its much more approachable.

it's supposed to act like a deterrent. if the retards suing him see that he actually has money upfront to go to trial, there's a chance they'll rescind their lawsuits because they don't want to actually deal with a potentially prolonged legal battle themselves, especially because they all would fucking lose.

I'm just going from personal experience.

As stated before, I've had to deal with a very long litigation with a very large corporation that took years to get to a conclude in my favor. They tried to bleed me dry in court. It did not happen, but the cost was very very high.

As stated before, I have attorneys on retainer, because of our society today.

As stated before, I live a middle class lifestyle. I do not over spend on anything because I use my wealth as a shield to protect the ones I love... and have used "that shield" in the past. I have seen how sue happy people are and weaponizing society against others.

It is always... always good to have more than less because IMHO Null has a big ass target on his chest and using your phrase...

This tweet makes it sound like they cant even afford to go to trial. Does anyone have any information further about if they are liquid or not. Also can a lawyer-fag chime in on why exactly subpoenaing for financial information is a lost cause unless it's relevant to the case itself.

EDIT: Talked to a police officer in my town, unless the crime is financial or the evidence is directly related to the wrongdoing in some way then the idea of financial information being given out through a subpoena is totally bunk. Enron level crimes, wire fraud or outright scams is when they do something like that and even then it's only spoken of in the court room for trial purpose. They really think that they can just get handed a phone book style white page of fucking people bank information. If they think that funding this out of our pocket is a crime their just retarded. Under the borderline paranoid psychosis level of delusion that this was related to a crime being committed in any way, at-least in the u.s you have the good faith protection to get shielded from due to you legitimately not knowing any better about the intentions.

Makes me extra sad of my current working situation, I just don't have the financial security right now. Otherwise I'd have loved to be the one to put the fund over 130k.

So for now its just a small contribution. Well, I'm sure this won't be the last time this kind of fund will be necessary, I'll try again next time.

Edit: Fyi, my german mastercard got rejected at first. I then assumed I did something wrong with the zip code (Never had to enter that before) and tried around a bit.
