President Biden vowed on Monday to veto a House Republican bill that would provide $17.6 billion in aid to Israel, calling it a “cynical political maneuver” intended to hurt the chances of passage for broader legislation that would provide money for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan and the U.S. border.

House Republicans fiercely oppose the larger bill, which was unveiled by a small, bipartisan group of senators over the weekend. It calls for $118.3 billion in spending and would overhaul some of the nation’s immigration laws to deal with recent surges of migrants at the southern border.

Speaker Mike Johnson said on Saturday that Republicans would instead offer the Israel-only funding bill instead.

In its official response on Monday, the Biden administration said the president would veto the House bill if it came to his desk.

“The administration strongly opposes this ploy, which does nothing to secure the border, does nothing to help the people of Ukraine defend themselves against Putin’s aggression, fails to support the security of American synagogues, mosques and vulnerable places of worship, and denies humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are women and children,” the White House’s Office of Management and Budget said in a statement.

Mr. Johnson called Mr. Biden’s veto threat an “act of betrayal” toward Israel.

“Israel is at war, fighting for its very right to exist, while our brave men and women in uniform are in harm’s way on his orders to deter Iran,” Mr. Johnson said. “In threatening to veto aid to Israel and to our military forces, President Biden is abandoning our ally in its time of greatest need. I urge friends of Israel and opponents of Iran to call the president’s bluff and pass this clean aid package.”

If neither bill passes, Mr. Biden will be forced to find a new approach to supporting Israel’s war against Hamas, the armed group in Gaza that launched a terrorist attack inside Israel on Oct. 7 that killed about 1,200 people.

Israel has traditionally been one of the largest recipients of foreign aid from the United States, and support for that aid has generally been supported by majorities in both parties.

They have made people with reasonable concerns into monsters just by misleading people with the mainstream press meanwhile places like reddit and twitter actively seek to hide anything that challenges the status quo.

You can point out problems w/ the stories, get official govt sources showing that it's not what it's portrayed as in the media but it's all them mean right wingers making shit up even if it's not. Meanwhile they talk like their news articles are infallible, and can't ever believe that the govt. might actually be up to shitty stuff.

I'm not trying to be black pilled here but it's gotten to the point that I fear it's going to get really ugly, really soon.

Is there really any way to stop this crazy shit going on or get people to understand that we might actually just be in a banana republic of sorts? Just even getting them to second guess anything is impossible, they believe they are on some holy crusade and are infallible.

More needs to be said about the Left's constant attack on the legal system. It's far more serious then anyone really thinks.

It won't be long before any lawyer daring to defend a wrong thinker will be just as forbidden as wrong think itself.

Just go check and see how many right leaning lawyers who either questioned the 2020 results or defended people involved in the lawsuits were suddenly brought up on ethic charges by Left leaning PAC's. Look at all the "ethics" complaints launched against Roberts and any conservative judge. This is an organized attack on the neutrality of the justice system by political actors to ensure that when shit hits the fan the Left can point to the courts and say we are right, even the justice system says so.

The Left has grabbed hold of most US institutions and now has it's eyes set on the justice system itself. If you don't toe the line 100% you will be ceaselessly attacked until you either stop practicing law, get disbarred or are bankrupt from defending your self or agree to bend the knee. Then those who wish to stand up will have zero support or resources to fight in a justice system that has no sense of justice and is nothing more then another tool of the elites.

Hell just look at the Trump shit they're pulling in the justice system, shit would never fly if any sense of fairness or justice was left.

I'd venture to guess that the US justice system may already by lost or if not totally lost then a hair's breath from it.
