Chupp is pretty much a corrupt piece of shit.
So I'm guessing there's no (speedy) way of dealing with a corrupt judge in a court of law, then.

It's tough for Vic, but given current trends within the English=speaking part of the "anime fandom", I'm guessing he won't be worst one off.

As far as I can tell, the way to do this is to not score any own goals, and make sure that a relatively unbiased jury or appellate court gets a strong argument in your favor.

It sucks for Vic to be in this position, and Chupp is a real piece of shit, but it's up to Ty (and secondarily Vic) to realize this.

Judges enjoy absolute immunity in the course of their duties. You'd have to prove he took a bribe, or broke the law, or some shit. Not merely that he reached a "bad" decision. The avenue for dealing with a bad decision is appeal.

I don't believe Texas allows recall of judges either, and even if it did, nobody would probably care enough to get rid of Chupp anyways.

To be perfectly honest, the belief Vic got screwed is a minority opinion outside of KF and a few other places. We're in the era of "listen and believe."

Chupp did run for a seat on the appeals court, and lost. So, there's that. I don't think he's gonna rise much higher in position.

I hope Ty Beard has deluxe platinum malpractice insurance, because his notary fuck up combined with a deadline game of chicken cost his client almost half a million dollars.
It's stupid that a notary error or filing has any consequence to the client at all. Fine or humilite the lawyer but what is the point of punishing the individual who had no hand in the lawyer's mistake. Lemonparty made plenty of mistake; so shouldn't that mean Ron and Monica should be ruled guilty for genocide, human trafficking and shoplifting?

Unironically, if Vic didn't want his case mishandled so badly, he should have done it himself, pro se. You hire a lawyer to be your champion, so to speak, and their wins are your wins, and their fuckups are your fuckups. You hire a lawyer to do the tedious legal shit for you, and hope they're not as comically bad as Ty Beard.

And as hilariously as Lemwaaah handled the lawsuit, none of his mistakes were anywhere near as fatal as Ty's were, and he ultimately got his clients the best possible outcome.

Nick said in private to lure Vic into trusting his best friend to be his lawyer lol.

It bugged me when Nick posted that picture on of himself "meeting Ty Beard" before the case was filed.... Nick made it seem like he was "meeting" Ty for the fist time.... Not admitting to the fact that Nick and his family had known Ty Beard for a long time.

So, has Rekieta or, hell, Beard for that matter issued any formal statements about the loss and what else there is to come? Have the two of them spoken on livestreams about it? Or have they both just quietly backed away from the whole clown show, throwing it into what I'm sure is an ever-growing pile of skeletons in their nearest closets?

This is actually true, apparently. After talking up Ty Beard and giving Vic the referral, he later revealed that he had never spoken to Ty Beard in person before. They made it seem like they were old friends drinking buddies on stream, but that was not the case.

I'm not sure I believe that. I think it's the majority opinion here because Kiwi Farms doesn't eject naysayers from the public discourse. If social media weren't a collection of walled gardens, I think you'd find most people familiar with the case would side with Vic.
In short, Twitter ain't real life.

It's pretty insane to me though that the one case that launched Reketa's career into the stratosphere is costing the guy he was leeching an audience from half a million dollars. What an incompetent jagoff.

Generally, a light humiliation is exactly what happens under normal circumstances in court. Filing mishaps are a regular occurrence and are almost always accommodated for by the court, with not much more than a simple finger wagging with the judge impressing the importance of prudence before then allowing late filings, amended filings, etc. As a matter of fact, one case I know of had a defendant's opposing council completely forget to upload their preliminary filings by the deadline a day before they were set to be heard in front of the judge. Defense of course motioned to dismiss the entire case, but the judge basically hand waived it off and postponed the court date, allowing them to rectify their mistake with a simple "Shit happens all the time". So long as you ask the court for additional time to rectify a mistake, they usually grant it. While Beard messed up by not filing properly by the deadline (he was playing the game of uploading last minute to minimize the amount of time opposing council had to form a response to his filing), it was absolutely out of pocket for Chupp to completely deny the amended filings and move forward without them. Honestly, it was easy to see that Chupp wanted this case out of his court, and he took every opportunity he could to boot it.

Not surprising that he lost the case, unfortunately, in the eyes of the public all this does is make it seem like Vic is guilty on all charges.

And I can't really blame them for coming to that conclusion tbh. If you don't know the details, it does seem like that's just it. They just see a guy who was accused of something, tried to take legal action, lost the case, tried to refute that and then was ordered to pay even more and just go "well he lost in court twice, he clearly doesn't have a leg to stand on".

I don't think he's corrupt in the sense of walking out of court with bags of money, but he's part of an essentially corrupt system. He's inept, and doesn't have to be as inept as he is. He just wants the prestige and respect of a job he isn't competent to do. The people are getting ripped off by even paying this clown's salary.

Just as an example, he should have shut down the depositions early on. That's one fairly obvious example of extremely expensive entertainment that did absolutely nothing for Vic. It wasn't just the other side burning money like they were made of it either.

The whole case had an outrageous burn rate considering the only substantive motion filed was a motion to dismiss.

Ty Beard was paid an insane amount of money by Vic relative to the work performed, and it was shoddy at that. You pay these ginormous amounts of money to 'professionals' so they get these little details right. Word will get around about his practice, so the damage is done to his reputation as an attorney. For Nick, he should just shut his channel down and go back to Wells Fargo.
