It is funny as some Steam user who are defending this game (my guess they are the devs or paid shills) are saying that is a wild conspiracy. However, WB has gone on record saying that they do use bots and paid shills in order to defend their products from criticism. If they are paying Steam to take down negative reviews as a form of damage control it wouldn't surprise me.

Many Steam users seem to be aware of that and are making "troll reviews". In that they make a positive review that is actually negative. WB and Rocksteady are so retarded that they don't take down the troll reviews as all they care about is the positive rating.

Modern Deadshot is a terrible character, in any medium. Old Floyd used to be the face of the Squad, because he was a guy who wanted to shoot people and things and was also hoping to get killed. He was a messed-up character from a messed-up background and was more complicated than a lot of the "edgy" comic characters we've seen unveiled in recent years.

I'm not sure if that's happening tbh. Instead, I believe what's happening is that the the bulk of who bought the game are niggercattle consoomer gaymers who are too heavily invested or are pulling a reverse wizard game in an effort to own these toxxxic chuderinos. . What do we know so far? We know the Steam numbers are low, peaking at 13.5k, which is half of the day one peaks of both Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight (it's down to an 8k peak in the last 24 hours as of the time of writing). We know the steam reviews and metacritic user score do not line up (84% positive on Steam vs 3.1 on metacritic). The game has already fallen off of the bestseller list on Steam. We also have the choice Steam forum post @PaladinBoo found claiming the game sold like shit.

If WB was flagging reviews, I think something would have popped up on /v/. I've not been paying attention but surely if there was evidence, it would have made its way here. I do think that there are a lot of troll reviews (going through some of the recent ones, I saw one that said "batman museum" and had a laugh) and a lot of the "mid" reviews default to positive and skew it that way.

If this game cost $400m to make and sold under 100k copies on fucking steam, this would be a bigger wash than Forspoken and WB will likely shutter Rocksteady.

Hey! I loved GOOH as it really concentrated the wacky action of SR4, Agents of Mayhem was fun for what it was, but a disappointment for those looking for a sequel to Saints Row IV.

Rocksteady barely uses/acknowledges material they didn’t create as the animations and comics have tons of retcons and material that do not work within the context of their games. The only exception is Origins, and even that is loaded with issues that keep it from fully working within canon.

That's true, there is a lot of tie-in material that isn't canon, but Assault on Arkham, before this mess, fit in pretty well. Intelligent developers would have kept it.

Back in the comics, Weasel was a Firestorm villain who appeared a couple of times and was essentially a serial killer in a fancy fursuit. He and a couple of other C and D list villains who'd made a handful of appearances beforehand in DC comics got wiped out during a crossover one-shot between the Squad and the then current version of the Doom Patrol.

Apparently there's a bug in the game where while a guy was fighting Brainiac the game goofed and he called their player character "Freeze" even though obviously Freeze isn't in the game. APPARENTLY there have been hints they're going to be adding Freeze to the game? What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall of WB right now. You just know that they are panicking and demanding for heads to roll over this. It took the Avengers game just a year to drop from the Steam store. I give this game six months or less for it to be pulled from Steam. This may be the biggest financial flop to have ever happen in gaming.
