Ugh. They may have been poor, uneducated and spawned Sammie but I feel sorry for Ma Bushart, Sabrina, Bently and Lucy for the loss of Pa Shart. He was really the only consistent father figure in the kids' lives. I don't know if he was the only one who worked but I hope Ma Shart has some resources to fall back on. Heaven help her if Sammie abandons Skylanta with her.

She should be able to get ssi for the kids I think, or ma shart. I hope the new baby is taken away ma shart doesn't need another kid. If she takes on Sammies new baby shes just enabling her daughter. I know it's hard because it's her grandkid but shes getting old. I guess if Sammies with her she can take her disability for bills.

I'm very confused by her due date. She found out the earliest I can find is 1/13/24. It says by the due date that shes 6 weeks 3 days. 1/13 was over 3 weeks ago. Shed be 3 weeks along with a positive test. Seems that would be impossible and you test positive around 4 weeks not 3. The due dates off and shes definitely either 7 or 8 weeks. Thoughts?

Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period. For most women, this means that they're not actually pregnant the first two weeks.

Plus I doubt a fundie pregnancy center is the best place for accurate medical info. Especially since CPCs have been documented to lie about gestational age being further along than it is (to manipulate someone into thinking it's too late to get an abortion, not that Kim would abort).

My sincere condolences to Pa Bushart's family. Ma sounds completely overwhelmed, and Sabrina seems to be dealing with pure grief. He was likely the main father figure for Lucy and Bently, and both of them are plenty old enough to understand the loss. This is terrible timing, not that there is a good time for premature death, but Sammie is going to have Skybox any day now.
If Sammie is off with Darnell and posting gross stuff on Facebook, then that's probably for the best. Her family should mute her and be thankful she's not underfoot.
