Venti never made piss videos and cut herself though, you can only do the ironic whore thing when you don't surround yourself with beta orbitor yes men
venti did the ironic thing and did have beta orbitors
I don't she can claim being a whore is ironic
you're right. she's doing it satirically. the same way CBB or alt comedians like david cross, wonder shozen, and Tim & eric could say or do whatever because they don't really mean it like MDE does.
one of the few things we can look forward to with them letting professionals do the casting is that we'll finally be able to pay these whores to make erotic commissions. /r/GonewildAudio is down the hall and to the left.
And sorry to break your bubble but throwing up Roman salutes and saying nigger are career-enders regardless of context.
literally the worst time to say that. Bud Light's new spokesperson literally has clips of him doing both, they were posted on the front page of TMZ.
. S1 also had MDE fans as contestants,
Sam pays so little attention to this show he doesn't know. its like how the actors on star trek or LOTR genuinely never learned about the source material. Its just a paycheck to Sam. thats why people shouldnt put their hopes on him realizing jet's dogshit at his job. Sam actually answers to Jet rather than the other way around. Think about it like the host of the bachelor or dancing with the stars or big brother or survivor or the amazing race. Sam is "the star" and has a lot of sway but overall if Jet wants him to suck a tranny's penis then he'd do it
Why the fuck would they advertise fishtank casting if they didn't want fans?
Sam and Jet posted links to audition on twitter to their own fanbase and then were upset they got fans as cast members? Seriously?
look at my above comment, Sam doesn't remember or honestly care. if Jet's not there to tell him he'd probably not even realize a lot of whats going on with fishtank. Its too bad Sam wasn't this much of a companyman back when he was working on adult swim, he'd 100% be apologizing to buzzfeed journalists if Jet asked him to
He, Sylvia, and Betty all threw fits because they didn't get to do season two.
meh, in terms of relations it would have been good. there's a reason every reality show tries to keep up with the former stooges. just have Jon or the others play delivery people like they did with Joe Schmoe. They could wave at the cameras and fuck off. same way josie or vance didn't overshadow anything.
He realized how fucked up attack therapy made everything and dropped his glorious idea.
its still an amazing idea, the casting just sucked. even Shinji was talking about leaving the first time he got attacked, the house would have been empty by week 4 if they tried it with this group.
. Her wound sharing discord is where I’ve realized her behavior is potentially dangerous. She encourages others on there to post self harm pics.
honestly tattoos are just as bad for the skin as cutting is, its not normalized yet but you're just doing a boomer-tier "a woman with tattoos is too crazy to love" thing and it makes you look like a goofball. vaping is also self harm but for your lungs instead of your skin yet imagine whining about that. same thing with alcohol which destroys your live.
Dasha is a whore, a slag, and a grifter.
you're just jealous, Dasha was the cutest $300 an hour hooker a decade ago. you'd be lucky to have her. she easily goes for 10x that now.

So the guy who was fired before ever being on an episode of SNL for saying chink, and has people gunning for him to not host it now because of the even worse shit he said is somehow the exception to the rule? I'm happy for him getting the bl sponsorship but I doubt it will last.

Except that the cast was great and got into more scuffles and absolute hatred of each other without the stupid fucking attack therapy just grinding up hours of a day. Basically every fish had some sort of beef with either a contestant or freeloader that wasn't derived from attack therapy. Its universally regarded as the weakest and most boring feature of S2

Part of the charm of fishtank is that the contestants largely have the same sense of humor and responded to events that in a manner that the audience would find hilarious. Fishtank has such a dedicated audience because its designed specifically for them, getting a group of 10-12 random aspirant actors and actresses out of California wont yield the same responses that the audience wants and expects from them. Sam and Jet tap into a specific brand of transgressive humor that has largely been ignored and attacked since perhaps the late 90s mid 2000s when Howard Stern had left to Sat radio and Opie and Anthony were being ground down and shunted there as well.

The cast of S2 had the same overly blunt and rude nature that the audience has, often times an extremely rude TTS would come in and more or less vocalize what they were thinking at any particular moment and cause them to burst out laughing. The cast being blunt about Nifty smelling like rotten boiled cabbages, shitting on the weird looking fans that cut their hair, Fatty exposing himself to everyone or smelling bad, TTS shitting on Danye by calling him Dumbgay, something that Trish would incessantly use instead of his name, the overt hatred of the LGBT orthodoxy of pronouns. This kind of stuff endeared the audience to the cast in a way that you cannot replicate.

Compare these two moments:

JC:
Tayleigh:

With JC who isn't a fan of the show, has no idea who Sam Hyde is or Fishtank, and doesn't have the same sense of humor as the production crew, leaves the whole segement flat, straight to the point, and with zero fanfare. She provided basically zero platform to hang any sort of jokes or humor off of because she lacks the same terseness and rough edges as the rest of the cast. Whereas with Tayleigh who was a fan of MDE and Sam, immediately starts shitting on the Zipp, has a witty response about what its made of, she then gets stuck trying to parse Summer's bizarre past and current actions into normal people language for Sam to understand only for the conversation to once again switch to her self deprecating and pointing out that she was a fat fuck once because she was eating too much "goy slop" as a teenager, a term both Sam and the audience find funny.

With a casting agency all you're going to get is JC types. People think they're going to get a bunch of Danye level go-getters but they fail to understand that Danye is already within that sphere of transgressive comedy because he works with Alex Stein.

I wanted to post a dozen or so instances of the cast and audience basically being on the same wavelength but the site's upload is fucked at the moment.

That or Nifty, Who I also believe was pretty much from an agency and has no connections to the wiggers or MDE and was just a total nobody progressive standup comedian.
Yeah I find it amazing how she has zero profile, but I don't believe she was derived from an agency, I think she was just an awkward woman that they found whom had totally polar opposite opinions to literally everyone on the show, she was basically the perfect rage totem for the cast and audience. Someone pointed out that there was a lot of early season talk on the TTS and echoed by Brian about some stupid NFT bullshit called Mondo Mega Bits. They believed that Nifty's pseudonym is just a play on the acronym NFT. N (i) F T (y). About the only thing I've ever seen regarding her real identity was Jimmy calling her "Kate" which I believe he learned from a prescription bottle she had somewhere. During Tay's livestream she was asked if she knew anything about Nifty's social media info and she claimed she couldn't find anything, given Tay was best buddies with Jimmy during that time frame its likely that she knows Nifty's real name as well and was unable to turn anything up, in my mind Tay probably wouldn't want to be friends with Nifty post show, probably just interested in figuring out if Nifty was for real or just an exquisite actress.

Maybe this is schizo, but I think the name Nifty may have come from an answer from this old street interview series MDE did where they interviewed a bunch of hipster faggots to see what ridiculous things they would say, and this guy answered that his fashion sense was "Nifty". It seems like a throwaway but they repeat this guy's answer again as part of the edit later in the video so presumably they found it funny enough to repeat it at least back then

Nifty also said she does not use Twitter or any social media which I guess would make sense since she has yet to be doxed despite openly admiting to being a pedo and painting a very large target on her back.

Been thinking about it, do the eliminations really even add anything? Would it be better if in future seasons, being "eliminated" just means they're out of the running for the grand prize, but still are allowed and encouraged to stay to the end as freeloaders, with a smaller extra payout if they do? Trish getting her mojo back after becoming a freeloader brought a bit of energy and good vibes back to the house, whereas booting people off and having less personalities around only makes it worse

The biggest problem with that is that it's basically implementing Survivor Jury throughout the entire length of the game. Trish had a bit more mojo when she was eliminated but she was also HARDCORE fellating TJ and pressuring Shinji to service TJ too. She even offered to give TJ a signal when Tayleigh was coming to pay for her services, as staff, so he could mug her, but that never came to fruition because Tay only opened her chips in the bathroom.
When Jimmy came back he was doing the same thing. If TJ hadn't rung the beef bell on him for whatever reason he wouldn't have let TJ or Trish have a moment of rest.
Jon was the same, just single-minded against Letty. Mauro's the only one who wasn't really like that because he quit the show himself but he was in service to Letty for most of the time.

It'd add a deliberate strategy to the game, trying not to be the reason someone gets eliminated or else they turn into a targeted missile aimed at you.

I kind of like the feeling of dreading your favorite contestant possibly getting kicked off. It might also make a fish more likely to quit because of a ‘if I quit I can still win 10k, smoke weed all I want, and be immune from more messed up challenges’ type of mentality. Another consequence could be production eliminating content driving fish just because they aren’t the favorites because they might justify it with the fact that they’ll be getting paid anyway.

It should be allowed in certain circumstances. I could see a fish being allowed to stay if they made it to the final four, but only if they were eliminated and didn’t quit. Similarly if a fish produces a lot of content they should stay on. It’s kind of been a tradition that a content driver gets eliminated, leaves the show, comes back on as a freeloader, and is an insufferable dick head who lost all of their original charm. Holding on to them makes sense. Having less than four fish makes it difficult for the audience to be engaged unless there’s a very intense rivalry such as Letty vs Vance.

The reason eliminations seemed bad this season was because like 6/10 of them developed unnaturally and were a result of production. So many fish left early because of being over relied upon or feeling isolated, and production never once took their foot off the gas. Those six also include Trish who was told directly by production that the competition was rigged and stopped trying as a result. Season one had a lot more intensity and pageantry surrounding elimination challenges and I miss that.

Actually, that's a good point. If they have a content driver, when that person gets eliminated, they need to sit them down in the basement and say: look, it's been great. You've been fantastic. Here's what we're going to do: I'm going to give you your phone. I'm going to watch you call home, call your mom, call your girlfriend. If you give the phone back to me and go right back upstairs you can have 1k a day. If you open Twitter, you can't come back. Deal?

Unfortunately it's iffy both times - Jon wanted to go home, not just call home, and even though Jimmy only succeeded at doing what Fatty attempts to do 3 times a season they didn't trust him in the house and probably had no thoughts of bringing him back at first. But if there's an opportunity it wouldn't be the worst move, to keep them from coming back crazy. I think they also did just want Jon and Jimmy to come back crazy so that they ended the show in disgrace and not as some kind of martyr.
