This is something I've never seen his insane defense force ever address. He's always having his cultists run damage control for his countless endorsements of pedophilia, but seemingly nothing for his horse cock obsession, admitting to sex acts with his lizards, saying bestiality shouldn't be illegal and consent doesn't matter with animals, the thing he calls his girlfriend etc.

With the first, it begs asking why Vaush and others don't extend this to lolicon. Vaush once even melted down on stream about the character Yoko Ritona from Gurren Lagann being "14 years old." Which she technically isn't, and was widely understood to be basically a joke until just a few years ago, with anyone who'd take that seriously being considered clinically insane/retarded. But you will see people now earnestly call you a child rapist for finding this character attractive.

With the second, it's probably mostly that. In large part, I see this as downstream of how furries have been completely rehabilitated by the left, on top of many people (particularly zoomers) finally buying the lie it's not a fetish and completely unrelated to real zoophilia. This is a gay/bisexual fetish subculture where, among many other things, anatomically accurate animal genitalia have long been ubiquitous in their pornography. But they've somehow gotten a pass on this.

Modern leftist thought and the very social paradigm we live in can all be traced back to 1945, its almost like a pseudo creation myth for an ideology followed with almost religious fever amongst its adherents, good vs evil. Ultimately I believe it rests on a moral bankruptcy of leftists who are typically hedonistic nihilists, most of them have depraved sexual fetishes since most could be described as spiteful mutants, abnormal, maladjusted, outsiders looking in. Calling Vaush out would open up a great deal of introspection which most are incapable of doing as is much of their world view is derived from the denial of reality, to suggest his sexual deviancies are wrong or harmful would put into question the sexual deviants such as contra points and numerous activists that demand the wider public acknowledge them as the opposite gender.

Was discussing this with a friend of mine and the best point of comparison I could think of here was being in church and listening to sermons. If you've heard one, you've heard them all and eventually it all becomes background noise. I doubt any of Vaush's fans really take anything he says into any kind of serious consideration. It's just constant signaling over and over again like a religious cult. But nobody ever really thinks about what he says to any critical degree.

They're running cover for him here, but clearly they haven't looked into it or given it any due thought or attention. But now that it's out in the open, it's that much more difficult to ignore. His fans seem to latch onto the talking about absolute moral bankruptcy, but I don't necessarily know if they're comfortable with acting on it. I think most people assume that if you're beating off to fake animals you aren't actually lusting after real animals.
