In response, the TQ+ are claiming that critics of trans ideology "gaying the trans away". But I thought the TQ+ crowd believed "gay is OK"? This is the one of the most frustrating things anyone who's gay has to deal with. Being asked why they can't just be straight or try being with the opposite sex. And this specimen is egging this on by claiming that homosexuality is "something you do".

Being gay is not a stereotype or behaviour. Nor does it require risky lifelong surgery and hormones. Not every gay man or lesbian out there is a walking caricature that you see in entertainment either. You're either gay or you're simply not. I wish these pornsick creeps would fuck off, leave the gays alone, and stop grooming young people.

I'm going against the grain here by saying this, but sexuality (whether homo, hetero or bi) is actually comprised of two aspects: sexual orientation and sexual behavior. The latter is actually something you "do". A homosexual person can be sexually oriented towards their own sex but due to social or cultural factors choose to marry an opposite sex partner and engage in heterosexual sexual behavior. It's not healthy, no, but the mechanics of the bodies bumping uglies is still a material truth.

I would argue that this also is why you can't compare "gay" and "trans" on an ideological level. They are not even in the same ballpark. One is fundamentally about the perceived morality of an action (same sex relationships) while the other is about forcing people to accept an ontological falsehood as truth (that men can be women and women can be men). Right vs wrong and true vs false.

Smell

Almost 8 months post op PIV here.

I have this weird, obsessive habit of smelling my undies all the time, like when I pull them down to pee, and most especially when I take them off to change, and also smelling my dilator right after I pull it out. During the first 3 months post op, I noticed that the smell was sometimes like betadine (understandably because I was douching every after dilation as advised by my surgeons) and sometimes sweet.

After 3 months, I was just told to douche every after dilation with water. Which I have been doing religiously. I am now dilating 2-3 times a week. But lately I have noticed that my dilator has this little, a bit strong acidic, sour-like vinegar smell, sometimes sour like yoghurt. My undies smell like fabric, though. I only use medical grade water based lube.

Now, I honestly don't know how a vagina should smell like. I have never smelled one, neo or not. Is it possible that I have infection like bv or something? I have never had any discharge. How should a healthy neovagina smell like? Especially for piv method. Please don't say "flowers."

Please don't comment anything on how I am told to douche every after dilation. I understand every surgeon works differently and I trust my surgeons and team but any helpful and educated response to my questions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

A healthy vagina should have a vinegary, yogurty smell. This is definitely a good thing. And smelling yourself isn't weird. We all have our own habits with our bodies in private. I always lick the tip of my dialators after use lol. It tastes good and I've always done the same when taking off the strap when it was a partner's cum on it so like shrug I hardly see how my own wound be any more risqué. Hahaha
