Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

It's complicated. CiderHype and DarkGift have to show solidarity with JDA so he will help forward fellow etsies/slum people to YellowFlash in the thin hope of escaping the charred desert of glass that was the CG community; JDA in turn must show solidarity with YF because he (among others) are helping get Jon's BiC-competitor content mill Fandom Pulse off the ground, and Yellowflash must in turn must show solidarity with Nerdrotic against Dick and Vito to get his upcoming comic promoted.
Sounds really convoluted and gay.

All I know is that if any of the Etsys back Vito in this, that would be the height of irony and inconsistency considering they tried really hard to cast Stu as a pedo with far less evidence (read: none). Hell, they even claimed he loved Cuties. Something Vito has expressly said.

It strikes me that a lot of the alliances in CG and anti-CG are born out of convenience and desire to shill each other's shit, and not any real actual moral values concerning anything.

Ever since I've heard about the Rippaverse EJ always touted it as him wanting to make his own universe, hence the hamfisted inclusion of Yaira and Alphacore to show Isom is just a small part of a larger world, even if at the very beginning EJ just wanted to make a one off he's been talking about the Rippaverse as a big thing long enough where he could have ironed the groundwork for the whole thing out.
That's news to me. Admittedly its hard to keep up with a show that goes behind a paywall if you don't watch it live so I've maybe seen parts of a handful of for canons sake episodes, and just clips afterwards. If he's had plans for it to be so big the whole time I'd love to hear how he gauged interest or likely sales before launch. If it had come out and only sold a couple hundred copies what was plan B?

I don't know how he gauged interest, if I had to guess he saw the early CG success and how people are willing to throw money at a project like this. While I don't think he expected to make multi-millions and get mainstream coverage, he was never going to sell just a few hundred copies, he had access to the FNT platform and the people there aren't tight with their wallets.

Ethan wanted to be Tony soprano but he’s Vito the gay captain. EVS did take a bunch of random trips to Atlantic City in the middle of the night before 2020. On jack show evs saw how bad baldo man is looking none on the panel could believe how bad nick looked

One they don't exist anymore, two may I inquire who are these Etsys you speak of?
I am not sure I understand the question. I said IF the Etsy's are backing Vito in this shitshow. I honestly don't know one way or the other. I kinda hope they're not. As I hope for practically anybody (too late for Ethan). Vito is bad news

Weren't those Testefy's friends who sold CG socks or some shit on Etsy?
As I understand, Etsy was meant as a pejorative coined by WC to describe ex-WC members. Testefy was one of them, and I suppose you could say he was their nominal leader.

I was actually on good terms with Testefy for awhile, and was convinced to go on his show a number of times (laughing at Liam was fun... sue me), but when the stuff with Stu happened, I noped out. It was too sordid.

I am just saying, in light of past events, it would look really odd if they backed Vito.

Richard C. Meyer / Ya Boi Zack plans to make an autistic printed infographic chronicling the downfall of the American comic book industry. I'd buy that for a dollar!
oh boy. i love to see what kind of retarded reasoning they will try to point out as the reason of the downfall of the comic industry.

there is only 1 thing that destroyed the comic book industry. its the comics code authority

Technology killed comics the same way it has all print media. The end.

Gonna be a short video.

Of course the fucker has his name tattooed onto himself.
That is completely normal. Personally, I only wear shirts with my own face printed on them.

Can someone give me a quick rundown on the relations between Iconic Comics and EVS, also the relations between Iconic Comics and July's Griftosphere?
And how does Doug TenNapel fit into all of this?

That's a tall order from a tall man. There is so much history, rewritten history and rewritten rewritten history with all these.

Doug TenNapel write-up by Dongs is here:

EVS hates Tim Lim. Tim Lim hates EVS. The way I see it, Tim Lim was one of the first people to complain about EVS turning CG into his personal comic book pro retirement home. EVS used their political satire books as an excuse to disavow Iconic.

I don't think there's any relationship between Iconic and the FNT people.

As far as Cider's first IGG Colossals campaign goes, unlike what Grift and Cider are saying now, it did get funded, but Cider set the funding goal at something like $500 to 'game the IGG promotion algorithm' as per ancient CG marketing dogma. The total funds raised (~$1500 iirc) though were far short of what was needed to break even and Cider did not have the funds on hand to even fulfill the project, buttloving his whole business venture out of the gate. After a few months of manic shilling, Cider eventually faced reality and announced the campaign cancelled on account of 'a tsunami hitting his filipino artist' and offered a full refund, which no one really believed, but in the end everyone let it slide on account of no harm being done. Cider went on to try again (successfully). Grift and Cider could explain this, but don't due to a combination of poor communication skills, the waste of time it would be trying to explain this to Dick Masterson, drug-related questionable memory but most importantly signal their allegiances and farm whatever controversy there is of going back and forth with Vito.

does Yellowflash even like JDA?

Technology killed comics the same way it has all print media. The end.

technology made it easier to produce comics. its easier to get funding for comics now due to kicstarters, its easier to market your comics, its easier to hire artists, even from outside the country, its easy to even post your comics online.

now, comics code authority, that killed whole genres of comics in mainstream distribution. its like the hayes code that basically gimped movies back then or like the video nasties (for you naughty uk kiwis). because of the cca, publishers just printed the safest genre of comics, which are cape comics while those other genres went to into indie like distribution.

if the cca wasnt established, I believe that the comics today would be in much healthier state, as a byproduct, the troons will actually have mainstream comics genre that they can flock to, instead of trying to fit in cape comics.

By 'technology' I really meant the Internet. Kids haven't bought magazines in like 15 years and comic's target demo are kids. Crowdfunding comics for adults is a niche nostalgia thing.

I don't think there's any relationship between Iconic and the FNT people.
That, to me, just shows that these people are nothing but grifters. From what I could gather about the people in and around CG, Iconic Comics truly stands out as the entity most concerned with creating high-quality comics and selling them to comic book fans.

But mostly because he acted like a smug dick who "thought" he was better than them.
I love this sentiment and I really hope, EVS and his gimps said that out loud.
TenNapel is 100 times more talented that EVS will ever be and this is either beautiful cope or a case of a hyperinflated ego.

does Yellowflash even like JDA?
I don't think many people "like" Jon Del Arroz but him and YellowFlash bonded over harassment and life ruination of Liam Gray.
Also Biggons showed Panboy's tweet about Jonathan Del Arroz domestic abuse and divorce and there are varied reactions.

As I showed just a few pages ago from the Dungeoneer files YellowFlash is backing up JDA's probable domestic abuse with "Believe No Women". Could be a valid argument if not for "Do not believe Jon Del Arroz". The court has ordered spousal and child support of some kind for what it's worth there must have been some validity. It was never specified actually because the children were included in the restraining order it could have been child abuse.

Also Mister Dongs mentions that YellowFlash is helping prop up Fandom Pulse which publishes articles not only by Jon Del Arroz but by his female identifying persona Daniela Acera. On the spectrum of sexuality having an opposite sex persona makes Jon Del Arroz queer for sure, and possibly trans or nonbinary. He's my pick for most likely to troon out of all the Comicsgate related spergs.
