Notably, the text stories weren't defined as CP, the court merely got him on general obscenity charges relating to those. Don't take this as me defending the guy by any means!!! By all accounts he had years of issues, and even a criminal record of sex crimes and assault, and with his sentence, he'll be in jail until he dies, and rightfully so. I just find these types of cases especially interesting when it comes to 1st amendment issues, and the legal battles around it.
