I'm glad I saw this thread because it feels like the only place I can vent my frustrations about things that I not only love but hold near and dear to my heart for a very long time and seeing both get usurped by degenerates and the mentally-ill alike irks me to the fucking umpteenth degree.

I got back into gaming just last year after a long time without a proper console, just reading stuff about titles that were being released and such. Sure, Gamergate was the fucking catalyst but the amount of abhorrent behavior instilled in gaming communities is appalling. I always wanted to play Guilty Gear, bought STRIVE as my starting point and lo and behold: there's an army of coomers that can't stop thinking about representation and how they see themselves as the cute uWu Bridget character because he's trans (something that only gained traction because of westernized localizations being done by the proverbial trannies and whatnot - to my knowledge). Tekken? It seems that every 3 of 5 players are coomers. What the fuck happened to just getting online and playing matches while talking shit? This is practically extinct.

Same thing with extreme metal. Saying you like X or Y band is practically a death sentence nowadays because politics-addled freaks can't go a day without self-inserting or projecting their beliefs and detestable ways of living into band imagery and whatnot. A brutal death metal band singing about deranged people gutting everybody? Gross, lynch them. Shitty black metal made by liberal lanky men with sideburns and emasculated "femboys" with piss kinks? Stunning and brave, prop them to Hell and High Water.

I have been called every single name under the sun for being disturbed with these things that it doesn't even bother me, it just fucking crazy how gullible people can be nowadays. 40 year olds being coerced to transition by cutesy internet addicts with filtered pics shot at exact angles. This is more indirectly, but young adult sci-fi and fantasy. Most of these books are written by handmaidens or forced by publishers to include a diversity plotline or characters.

Sometimes I want to shut my brain off when reading and YA books were always a good haven for easy-to-read novels with interesting worldbuilding concepts. That is impossible to do now. So many forced they/thems, polycules, just outright deviant shit where the plot stops to preach about trans rights in a fantasy world with magic where there's likely a magical spell to get a real vagina.

I know a based librarian, kids and teens don't want these books. Teens keep checking out old Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, all the books a person 30+ likely grew up with. People keep donating the infamous books that get banned, and one specific book called Phoenix Extravagant because the they/them protagonist pronouns are unreadable. Try to figure out when "they" refers to the protagonist Jebi, the other examinees, a painter, or the Ministry. An excerpt:

Not really, because you cannot honestly put the blame for global warming on troons. They are much more like an invasive species than a pollutant.

Species need to be:
1) non-native (or alien) to the ecosystem under consideration and,
2) whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic / environmental harm or harm to human health.
to be considered invasive.

Examples: in some part of UE grey squirels, bull toads and barnacle gooses are considered invasives by literally bullying others species to extinction and destroying their direct environment.
A counter example is the Weeping Willow, which came from Asia. It is considered as naturalised -> it acclimated to the ecosystem without destroying it and is now part of it.

So calling troons as invasives is spot on.

The funniest we saw was at a festival, a group of people who trolled the “safety and inclusiveness” crew (usually they give you condoms and earplugs but since few years they annoy you about the importance of pronouns and distribute flyers on genderfluidity while you drink your beer - ironic since metal festival are already pretty inculsive by nature) by asking them if they can take the whole box of condoms because they want to do an orgy on the camping while drinking and sniffing poppers. The crew members were so embarrassed and squirming it was hilarious.

I think identity politics in general ruined left wing politics. Once the left decided that the inherent correctness and moral goodness of a person was tied to how "oppressed" they are, it became inevitable that they would find a way to explain that the most oppressed people of all are heterosexual white males.
