Eh, most people seem to describe Cyberfrog as a "TMNT ripoff." It seems to be aping the anthropomorphic action figure lines of the 1980s. As to whether Pepe was any influence, you will have to consult a far more learned Ethanologist than I. There should be a couple in this thread.
He failed Ethan during the attacks on Eric July. You could tell Ethan was done with him when he barked at him over bringing up the film American Beauty again during a stream.
An upcoming war against Nick might also explain EVS's recent fascination with Camelot.
Nick is utterly loyal to Dax and Vito, but I would assume that they both value EVS politically more than Nick right now.
Ethan needs a win now over someone. Nick is a reasonably easy target these days.
The only reason why Balldo got involved in that shit at all is that Dax and Vito goaded him into it. If not for that, he probably would still be on good terms with July. If you think about it, he personally didn't have any reason to hate July until after he caved to Dick's pressure, and July called him "non-practicing."
His involvement ultimately didn't do him any favors, since that lead to him drunkenly ranting to video footage of Eric July for nearly seven hours. Said meltdown included such gems as how he grew up in the hood (complete lie, his family is rich as fuck and his grandfather was an engineer at CRAY Supercomputer), and that Alphacore wouldn't rake in more than a million dollars. And, of course, the ministry lawsuit ended in a mouse fart.
More recently, Yellowflash has split from Ethan, and Rekieta has claimed he doesn't want to discuss July any more lest he aggro friends he has on the pro-July side (this has been documented in the Rekieta thread).
I can't say for certain if that's what caused Ethan to say the things he said, but I would agree Nick is probably of limited use to Ethan now. He doesn't seem keen on attacking July much anymore.
As an aside, I DO think it's kinda funny though that even the CG weirdos figured out that Ty Beard was a fucking idiot, whereas Nick can't bring himself to admit it.
