There was no one child policy and families often had a dozen children, just like Europeans back in the day.
My maternal grandfather had 9 brothers and 5 sisters I think. He is the youngest of the bunch.
There is also the cultural habit of concubinage (think mistresses that live with you and you basically own), which meant that if you were rich, you often had your wife and as many concubines as you wanted.

Back in 2018 I saw something that has stuck with me since. Me and a co-worker went to a local Wendy's and decided to dine in. Every employee there was a young niggo, and every one of them looked lifeless and beyond bored. They moved so slow, with no sense of purpose or urgency, it was so depressing. I've worked in foodservice and know they didn't give a shit about cleanliness or food quality, they were just doing the bare minimum needed to get through their shift.

But what I remember best is seeing a middle aged white woman who appeared to be a manager, pop out of the back and looked like she was clocking out at a terminal. I watched her go out the door to her car, and she was smiling ear to ear, no doubt she was thinking "Thank God I'm done with this nigger bullshit for today..."

This is why I would rather purposefully make the drive to Jollibee for my shitty fast food fried chicken than the Popeyes near me that is entirely run by nogs. The difference between the two is night and day. Slow service, rude cashiers, they get orders wrong most of the time anyway.

They also bring their kids to work which would be fine and all normally but of course they can't parent for shit so the niglets terrorize the customers. Last time I was there a few months ago, one of em threw a balled up wrapper at the back of my friend's head.
 
Duke's is the best regular mayo

I go for mayo now, but I’ll always have some nostalgia for a white trash meal of fried baloney and melted Kraft Singles on Wonder Bread with Miracle Whip.

Companies will use canola,soybean,high fructose corn syrup,etc to make cheap slop using waste products. The beans/corn is primarily used as feed for livestock while the leftover garbage oil is used as cheap alternatives to animal fat or higher quality oils like olive or coconut. Read the ingredient list of everything you buy, very common to see orange juice that is actually "orange flavored beverage" or ice cream to be "frozen dairy dessert".

I used to work for a company that occasionally shipped to Chinese retail customers. They were uniformly awful to deal with, rude, ignorant and would never be straight with you even when we were trying to help.

Then we had our first dealing with a Taiwanese company, when we fucked up massively on an order, they went out of their way to help us. Polite, personable, one woman I was talking to took the time to google the town we were based in so she could bring it up in conversation. They were the most ethical, professional and just downright nicest customers I ever encountered.

The recent influx of people from Hong Kong to the UK has been something similar, incredibly hard workers, with a very strong family connection. Although they tend to be a bit more stand offish with locals and prefer to keep themselves to themselves.

Powered spices are great. They are convenient, cheap, and easy to apply. I use them a lot, but I prefer fresh garlic, sautéed onions and roasted pepper when time permits.
For some spices, powered is the only way you can get them practically, HOWEVER, when you get them powered, the quality decreases. For example, pre-ground pepper off the shelf is not as potent as peppercorns ground up on the spot in your pepper mill at home. With that in mind, lets move on.

My big gripe is that dey seasonin' overpowers the actual food most of the time. If am eating chicken, I want it to taste like chicken with garlic and paprika, not just all chili powder and garlic. Some foods like fish, have a delicate flavor profile such as Chilean Sea Bass. Dishes like that need a delicate, light, cream-based white wine sauce. I could buy the shittiest and best cuts of meat, throw them in a nigger dish and it would not matter because they drown it out in so much spice. Less is more.
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper go a long way. One of my favorite dishes is a brined whole roast chicken with just salt, pepper and rosemary. Its humble, juicy, no fuss and doesn't assault my senses. If you cook your food right, you don't need tons of spices to enjoy it.

The Actual Cooking
Their technique is very poor. Most of it just involves dumping a fuckton of powered, premixed spices, butter, flour and worse, condiments into the pan, mixing it together, frying or baking it. Im not seeing much sautéed or reduced, no mother sauces or using acids or alkalies to improve color or texture. I see no marinades or brining. There is zero basting, blackening or blanching. Zero evidence of stocks being used or made. Presentation & plating? Forget it. The heavy use of spices turns every dish into a brown-reddish sludge. Go to a French place in your local area, chances are the food looks miles better than the seasoned "soul food".
A lot of the cuisine is fried. Fried foods are the unhealthiest way to cook things.

Some Other Observations
- About the closest thing I have seen is a béchamel sauce which they butcher when they attempt to make mac and cheese. Most of them just use butter, shitty cheese, flour, and powered chili and onion. No Gruyère, Swiss or fresh parmesan. No toppings either.
- All those powered spices, especially the premixed ones have a ton of sodium in them. When they are baked or fried down, they become concentrated into the food or sauce. Combine that with the margarine, sugar and fat thats already in those foods and its little wonder why niggers are so fat & unhealthy.
- The base foods they begin with are shit. Cheap ground beef, shitty sausage, cheapest cuts of chicken. In the 1800s, spicing things up because the meat was subpar was acceptable, however this is not the case today.
- They use butter or margarine all the time. I love butter in dishes, its delicious, but for most things, EVOO excels and its healthier for you too.

That's the thing about China. Chinks from China itself are just some of the most ungodly horrible people in the world. The ones here, especially the ones who have been here for generations, are fine.

Their tourists are just the worst in the world though. If you ever lived in a tourist destination, you can tell Chinese from any other nationality by their uniformly shitty behavior. Japanese? They'll approach you, know the history of the place, treat you with respect. Chinese? They will piss on the ground right next to a bathroom.

i think she was saying that sometimes people focus so much on spices but forget the role salt plays in the overall flavor profile
salt is very effective and can greatly affect the flavor as well as compliment any other seasonings

i don't think the seasoning police even got mad at her for saying salt is important, or that salt is "all" you need
